Magic is essence. It's energy, and potential. It runs through each of us, even if we don't have the ability to directly manipulate it into balls of fire or crazy artificed inventions. It is not just a cliche comment to say that it's the friendship between two beings. It is the composition of a mastercraft a carpenter spends his life carving. It's love, order, chaos and fear. It's the hope felt as allies gather to protect one another from a greater threat. The potential for what magic can become is endless, and just like any evocation it is shaped by the will of the mage and their imagination. It's shaped by their creativity and ingenious applications. It's shaped by you.

 

It is time to abandon the cycle of hatred, of prejudice, of infighting and pining for power and status just to be seen as more powerful than other beings. Instead of bullying the weak, it's time for us to protect them from others that would do so. To learn from them, to better ourselves constantly and in turn better others.

 

The Monolith of the Veilward now stands as a sanctuary for the Arcane. Those with a desire to challenge the dungeon below, and to become fledgling mages and alchemists.
