To think it was Xarkly who finally got me my interview for being a mod, who had to GET PERMISSION to do such a thing because the management could not or would not do it for one reason or another and wanted to extend a helping hand in keeping things moving after my application had already sat for SIX to SEVEN MONTHS with zero comms on why it took so long.

 

Absolute crazy work. I don't think I want to be considered for moderation anymore with those guys removed. Sorry. I'll reconsider if they're apologized to or brought back on the team.

I don't think I'd call mentioning the fact that it's been at least a year, if not longer, since the CT Admin stepped down and we haven't seen a replacement a hateful message. If that's how you took it, you're probably doing something shifty.

Hey random LOTC larper here. Why are the active mod team members getting dropped? They’ve been doing stuff. The fix to stagnation at the top is probably not to trim the bottom layers who are not being stagnant. It’s to just- stop being stagnant I think. Idk. :/ Please don’t silence me. I just want the best for this server. And from what I’ve seen somewhere at the top there’s some issues. And we are feeling it on the ground level trying to enjoy the server.

To be clear, when someone does something objectionable to just about everyone, the reaction of memes, hate, and general frustration, is in fact, feedback.

I think it is fair to keep all of it as it seems to be something people are genuinely upset over. Unproductive memes that stem from distaste for a situation that is ultimately very shitty, and from an admin nonetheless. To delete things makes it feel like the team does not care about how the community feels regarding a decision made by an admin that isn't very transparent as others have stated. If hateful replies are in such an abundance, that should be pretty telling. 

If the questions seen are all similar, maybe another post needs to be made.

10 pages of people expressing frustration is fine. we saw you deleting navigators post accurately calling out that making a meme title about a very serious matter as an admin who's actions and justifications after months of absence are in question, is what most people would rightfully consider genuine feedback in response to such a post. if peoples response is to criticise his choice even if partly by meme, then that should be the evidence you need to see where the players sit on this topic. removing them doesn't help you unless they're actually offensive.

 

of course this blew up. when an admin goes absent and the first thing they say is "we're removing the very moderators doing their work and adding new ones in their stead, live with it," of course there will be an outcry.

 

if you dont like that people are rightfully upset, that might be a good sign to like.. idk. evaluate the situation once the initial outrage dies down?

I don't mind or disagree with people being upset, hence why status updates haven't really been touched. I dont disagree that the memes and hate stem from somewhere or otherwise absolve it by calling it unnecessary/unwarranted - I would just like the thread itself be with actual questions/feedback rather than the repetition of the same unproductive memes/troll.

I would like to know, since you admit you have not been present and left your managers to run things on their own, how you yourself are not simply 'keeping the lights on' and therefore why you are still Admin? If you do not have the time to do the job, you do not have the time to do the job. Xarkly, Spoopy, and the others have been doing the job. They've been doing it very well, with the limitations they have had. Yet you remove them without warning, without explanation, why? Stating you need fresh eyes, fresh minds, and people who want to promote active change and growth. Yet you yourself are actively impeding said growth, ignoring the team, and not engaging with the server or the team.

Do not remove people for 'doing the bare minimum' when you yourself are incapable of such and have been for months.
