A  S T U D Y  O N  S O U L S

Penned by a follower of the King.

‘’ጮልሃ፪ቹ ጎ ልጮ ፕⶴቹ ክቹሸፕ ኡጎክፏ’’

 

While wandering the world, using the powers given by my Lord, it was discovered that all people possess one of seven souls, influencing or directly controlling how they live. At their birth, they are given a soul type, which will forcefully direct their being -- as it is their destiny. There are seven souls, often depending on which day the soul was truly created - not always the same as their perceived day of birth. But there is a vague correlation. The souls are as follows.

 

A common misconception is that soul-types are related to one’s magical aura. This is false, as ultimately a soul will simply often choose a color relating to the individual’s theme. An outfit, their eye-color, or otherwise. Souls are infinitely complex yet infinitely simple things.

 

The Enlightened Soul - ጎ ነጎፕ ፪ቹክቹልፕⶴ ል ፕዪቹቹ ሠጎፕⶴ ዐክቹ ልየየረቹ. ጎፕ ጎነ ቹክዐ፱ፏⶴ.

 

The Suffering Soul - ጎቻ ጎ ልጮ ልረጎህቹ, ጎ ⶴልህቹ ፪ቹቹክ ፕⶴዪዐ፱ፏⶴ ሠዐዪነቹ ፕⶴልክ ሃዐ፱.

 

The Shepherdry Soul - ቻዐረረዐሠ ጮቹ ልነ ጎ ርዐክዓ፱ቹዪ ፕⶴቹ ረልክጋነ.

 

The Endless Soul - ጎ ልጮ ር፱ዪነቹጋ ሠጎፕⶴ ል ጋቹቹየ የዐርኡቹፕ ዐቻ ጋቹፕቹዪጮጎክልፕጎዐክ.

 

The Cruelty Soul - ሃዐ፱ዪ ፪ረዐዐጋ ነልፕቹነ ጮቹ, ልክጋ ጎ ልጮ ክዐፕ ነዐዪዪሃ.

 

The Loving Soul - ጎ ሠጎነⶴ ጎ ርዐ፱ረጋ ፕልኡቹ ፕⶴቹ የልጎክ.

 

The Creation Soul - ጮሃ ረዐዪጋ ጎነ ጎክ ፕⶴቹ ርዪልቻፕ.

 

O N  E A C H  S O U L

 

1. The Enlightened Soul.

 

The Enlightened Souls are those whose souls were created on the First day, and they will stop at nothing to achieve and consume every bit of knowledge there is, and one day, they are destined to succeed. Holders of this soul-type find themselves seeking self-improvement and knowledge until they can find a state of true enlightenment. They are destined to find great success in such, but unless careful - they will often be consumed by their hunger for greatness.

 

2. The Suffering Soul.

 

The Suffering Souls are those who were created on the Second day, and they are destined to eternally suffer and crawl through a sea of pain, only to arrive on a beach of a painful death. Holders of this soul often do not make it very far in life, dying young - but should you encounter someone with this soul at a late age, they will be among the grandest warriors and poets and wisemen that you will ever meet, on account of their survival despite their fate. 

 

3. The Shepherdry Soul.

The Shepherdry Souls are those who were created on the Third day, and they are destined to lead great nations. These are the souls of Kings, Martyrs, mercenaries, saviours, and damners. They are those who will lead their flock to the highest heavens or to the greatest hells. Which of these it is, is not important, for they will end up with great forces behind them, and this is their destiny. A silver tongue and quick wits as far as sociality are often present in these souls.

 

4. The Endless Soul.

The Endless Souls are those who were created on the Fourth day, and they are destined to continue no matter what. They are given nothing in life but a deep reserve of determination. It is through this that they will be among the most capable of folk, and even though they may go down in one sword swing, they will continue to rise again and again. Mercenaries, bandits, and the greatest of commoners usually possess this soul.

 

5. The Cruelty Soul.

The Cruelty Souls are those who were created on the Fifth day, and are among the easiest identifiable of the soul-types. In the eyes of a holder of this soul, you will see little life excluding in times of hatred and madness. Their destiny and life will be led by being cruel, terrible people, feasting on the innocence and naivety of those of the world. Oftentimes, necromancers, warlocks, or other dark mages or murderers will possess this soul type.

 

6. The Loving Soul.

The Loving Soul are those who were created on the Sixth day, and are those who love terribly strongly. They are selfless, caring people, who only wish that they could take the pain that their peers take instead. Those of this soul type will usually be found running orphanages, or caring for their friends or other allies. Some, with a stronger soul, might even lead great expeditions to give the less fortunate an upbringing. They find weakness in their naivety, often, and will find themselves loving those who do not deserve their unending kindness.

 

7. The Creation Soul.

The Creation Soul are those who were created on the Seventh, and last day. They are those who spend their time altering the world around them in seeking to make something greater or worse out of it. This is among the most pataphysically powerful of souls. Those with this soul type will rise to great heights, often creating elements of other souls to build something great. As the Yellow Prophecy says, he who becomes the next Lord will be born with the Creation soul.

 

O N  T H E  S O U L

 

Souls are the single most powerful bit of matter that can ever and will ever exist. It is for this reason why they are used and craved so by the higher beings, including Voidal Horrors, Aengudaemons, Spirits, Aspects, etcetera. They have infinite reserves of creation deep within them and are capable of a great many things.

 

Properties of the soul are,
-Souls cannot be destroyed in any way or form, save for utter annihilation at the hands of the raw Void.

 

-Souls will regrow themselves if taken by practitioners of non-arcane arts, such as Mysticism or Warlockhood, known in Blackspeech as ‘NAZTHERAK’, or ‘False-Princehood’.

 

-Outside of divine intervention, souls which have been damned to undeath cannot be recovered by any way, shape, or form. Interestingly, this applies to Machine Spirits.

 

-The lesser souls found in Musin, Hou-Zi, etc are unable to channel any magic outside of simple mana manipulation. Notably, an exception applies to Kha, which might indicate a brief success on the Voidslain, Metztli’s part.
