A bad run is a bad run 🤷‍♂️ to say “well others have done this too!!!” kinda gives no further reason to read the rest of this post. If you lacked the RP, you lacked the RP which seems to be the case judging by what squak said in those screenshots. If lore is vague or poorly written, asking well in advance never hurt anyone.

I understand the argument of, "I don't want to do gardening rp" or "how often am i expected to self-rp". Yeah, it is kinda boring to have to go give the sapling a kiss on the cheek and tuck it in from time to time - but my friend - it's right there. No, it doesn't say, "This plant needs 5 emotes of Druidic Energy per 1 OOC week". Yes, that's bad lore. But we still signed up for it. Squak gave you guys 30+ OOC days of a timeframe to interact with the saplings in any capacity, and none of you did. 

 

I want to be angry with you, but I can really only find myself at the conclusion that some of the seniormost members of the Druid community didn't read their lore, or ask for clarification when they were "confused". 

 

It's really not that hard. A plant needs water. Magic plant needs magic "water". 

Again, the 30 days cd was given AFTER WE pked but doing the counting, unless it was wrong. If we ignore the one ooc schedule my sapling would have been alive, one day close to die die. Like I added in the recent ss, my student would have gotten it at the 29 day. But none of us was given a chance to talk or argue it. It just happened. And signing for it isn't an excuse for just causing all of this, and fix the lore after giving such punishement out.

At times death happens. It is the nature of life and the nature of RP. Shouldn't we thrive to embody realism while balancing the world of fantasy? Hold actual consequence and weight to the life of our characters? When death happens, it happens. Regardless if there is a formulative planning, or a murderer wakes up and chooses your char as their victim

There was tons of roleplay reasoning behind the deaths, some of which was even documented through nation missives. If that is the point you are making, then respectfully maybe this conversation isn't for you.

Wrong again. The three treelords killed today have interacted with people since the time stop ended on saturday with the assumption they were not PKed. They are now dead irp with no reason. Yall are just disingenuous at this point.

adding to the point, they were making future plans. my character was suppoesed to have her attunement this week, yesterday in fact. and i put it on hold because ive been pulling 8+ hour days roleplaying after the LAST pk we had and i needed to rest last night. we had thursday planned for it. now its not happening, and it likely could have been voided. theres 2 other dedicants losing a guide that had plans with them. people were trusting staff that saturday was the done and done and now we're having to go from "oh they survived the attack" to "oops ALL OF THEM ARE DEAD NOW"

It can BOTH be true that 1) treelord lore is bad and inconsistently ruled on, and 2) that players who agreed to the CA's red lines and functions should face the consequences of failing to adhere to mechanics. If the timing is "vague", then the criteria defaults upon a ruling by management. It can be clarified going forward, though vagueness should not be a means to weasel out of excuse and lazy RP.

Sucks to have all of your RP go up in smoke; it may be worth speaking with the Haelun'or people about similar circumstances, and how they learned to move on.

Nah, i mean they're the ones that made it possible, its on them and their fault completely. If i was a druagar back on Aevos and i told all my friends yo lets shove all our phylacteries in a room together!!! That means nothing, maybe they shouldnt have been RPing if their PK's were still being discussed, even then an easily believable RP reason could be made ya just yappin. Yeah it sucks to lose future plans but there is always a workaround to things, you guys are acting like every treelord got shot, that just isnt true. it is not the end of the world, look at the mass naz dc, look at MY naz dc, i had alot of future plans for it but i didnt crash out or go complain its unfair, it was my blunder that caused it but now im doing better than i would have WITH naz. It is not the end of the world, y'all need to lock it in
