On the Cursed Children, 645 A.A

Deep within the halls of the Artifai cathedral, a lone nun sits within a confessional booth. Tears dot the manuscript that flutters in her trembling hand, whose knuckles are nearly as white as the habit that covers her body. Quiet sobs escape her mouth, too soft to be heard outside the booth, but audible to anyone sitting on the other side.

But the other side is empty. No priest listens to her woes; no magister extends grace.

Nobody is listening.

Alone in her travels through far off forests Astrid reads the many missives collected from the empire, no one in sight as she reads through them. As she realizes the purpose of this missive in particular she stops, reading closer to make sure she is understanding it correctly. after a moment she mutters "so they take over the world. . . and then kill all the interesting people?" - "who are they going to rule if everyone is dead?" she then contemplates buying several homes across the imperial realms and put voidal tears in each.

"That's it, I'm dead." Muttered from the lips of Magemaster Elizar Suneater Kagura, decisive, yes, decisive action must be taken. Eternal Damnation for your people.

"Let our blades sever their connection to Ixris, for their only salvation is death!" Robert, boy squire, withdrew his blade and shouted in zealous excitement.

". . . And this," Muttered a winged woman from a secluded perch, "is exactly why the gift of flight has become so necessary." A small step, and then a jump, before she leapt off of the tree where she had resided. Not everyone was so lucky to find refuge in the sky and away from the cruelty of man, but she could only hope that one particular devil might.

Bron stares at the document. "Vy know... ea knew ea had gotten eam hopes up again. Believing that this new pontiff would be different.. it doesn't appear to be the case." He tosses the parchment into the fireplace, a huff leaving him. "Death circles but ea will keep being one step ahead.. just let eam luck hold."

he would skim over the document as he read it in his head, he started to think about if god would protect the pontiff if some cruel fate were to befall upon him.... or would god see this as justice

Sylvara couldn't stop herself from laughing. It felt like some form of righteous vindication. She wondered to what extent, the seeds of hatred she had spread; had contributed to this. The devoted darkspawn hunter shifted a crossbow back onto her shoulder, donning her armor before the culling to come.

Saint Gerard of Lemonhill stood beside Saint High Pontiff Caius I within the Seven Skies, his fingers tracing the Lorraine. "Holy, holy indeed is the work of the Vicar of GOD, righteous and everlasting!"

Hans von Aesterwald read over the missive with a grin. "Zat's mein High Pontiff!" he declared with clear approval. With that, he set the parchment aside and returned to the grindstone, resting his blade against the wheel as it began to turn, sharpening the steel of his blade.
