My First Day as Mod Admin

Hey everyone!
As mentioned on Telanir's announcement post due to timing I went on vacation immediately after becoming admin, so I said I would write my introduction post when I got home. I am home now and today is what I consider my official first day as Mod Admin. This post is meant to be a simple introduction with some brief goals in mind so let's get straight into it.

Mod Applications:

There is a small list of people who applied during the interim that are either waiting to be interviewed or waiting for a final verdict, do not worry I have not forgotten about you and will be reaching out to you guys over the next week.

Aside from that if you have any interest in becoming a mod I would encourage you to apply this week as well. If you do apply I promise you that you will get a quick turnaround time on your app. I would like to bring in a new batch of trainees sometime within the next 2 weeks. 

The Mod Team:

My main focus for the next couple weeks will be on how the team operates internally. Across two meetings today I managed to speak with almost the entirety of the team. Within these meetings I gave my expectations to them as well as asking them what they expect out of me and for any goals or ideas they have immediately in mind. There are no major plans for restructure or immediate removal of current members from the team.

Also please congratulate @xDisarray and @rose6614on their promotions to full moderators after quite a few months of waiting.

Maintaining an Active Presence:

This one is simple but something I wanted to add to this post. Throughout my time on staff I have made an effort to pop into random communities occasionally and just say hi, whether in vc's or just their text channels. This is something I wish to maintain throughout my tenure and will work to maintain an active presence within the community. If you ever wish to chat about anything and see me around please do not be afraid to say hi.

Personal Introduction:

Alright now that I have talked about that stuff time for my introduction. Hey everyone I am spoopy_duck, once known as spurf (rip that ign) and I have been on LOTC for 4 years now. I joined in February of 2022 and have been on staff since January of 2023. Now I have a quick list of fun facts about myself to give as well:

- My favorite pokemon is Glaceon
- My favorite game is Cyberpunk 2077
- My idol was Luke Skywalker growing up
- I was not the biggest fan of fantasy as a genre until I joined LOTC
- My all time favorite game franchise is Legend of Zelda (Windwaker is my favorite game)

- Yuta is my goat and I will not apologize @The Tough Guy
- I am unapologetically a Dodgers fan #BeatLA
- Trinn is cooler than me

Of all of the people to choose for this position it had to be THIS guy? I hate that I must remind everyone of his heinous crimes time and time again. For example, as I most recently shared, I once ordered a burger through Doordash. By the time I retrieved the grease-soaked paper bag and ravaged through it to feast upon my burger, I was shocked and dismayed to discover all that remained of my “burger” was two measly sesame-seed decorated brioche buns (with an impressive color) and two bread and butter pickles in between. No patty, no cheese, not even any ketchup! It was seriously cruel and I just can’t believe that we’re letting someone like this guy hold such a position of power and authority in the community. You might be wondering what the burger scandal has to do with Spoopy. How can I be so sure it was him? 

I have proof. 

As you can see, they are suspiciously Discord DM-shaped but that is besides the point. Here he is, posing at the deliverer and stealing not just “half” of my burger, but the patty and everything else on it that matters leaving me with a husk. 

 

This is what’s going to happen to this server. Spoopy comes in and robs what good there is in the world (such as ground beef patty, cheese, ketchup, mustard, onion) and leaves behind what is nothing without it. If I had ordered lettuce on that burger I’m sure that he would have eaten that too much like a dinosaur (and I am sure he has met the dinosaurs which is another concern because I hear they are bad influences.) Soon enough, the meat, cheese and condiments of Lord of the Craft roleplay experience are going to be GONE. And when He leaves behind only the Buns, He Will Blame Someone Else….. Even if there is RING CAMERA PROOF. And also me being ridiculed for speaking out on it? As if he can’t believe I would be opposed to sharing the truth.

 

Secondly I have to bring attention to this: 

 

This is just the first part in his scheme to gather a cult-like following on this server. I have fallen for it for now, since I was afraid of what might happen otherwise, but I have learned Spoopy Duck’s secrets and I am warning all of you now. 

 

 

This is what’s going to happen. Is this really the Admin you want to support…? Do you really want to watch this server be robbed of what matters (see: burger analogy) and replaced by ?

 

It will all be so long as Moderation Administrator Spoopy Duck has his way.
