Our sundered people have weathered countless toils, and though gloom gathered and the heart grew oft weary upon our long and winding path, hope was never wholly forlorn. Ever there came to us, like a ray of light through a clouded sky, the kindness of those who lent their solace, and through it lightened the burdens of our wandering.

For this grace so idly given and the unfaltering trust and hope, to gladden those who laboured, and to honour the pillars of faith unbroken, we are to host in Taliyu'lin a celebration of its hallowed halls, freshly carven of stone.

Chief stands amongst the flames of hope, however, one whose craft surpasses even the fairest telling: Korvec Alemnir, mason of Lareh'thilln, Karinah'siol, Asul’hileia, Tahn'miar, Siramide and now Taliyu'lin. It is in gratitude for his tireless devotion and the beauty of his works marble-hewn that we shall name this festival.

The Address of elMaheral

The Maheral Silvos Sythaerin shall address the Blessed Citizenry, declaring the way forward, and honouring the efforts of those who served in the construction of the Silver City of Taliyu’lin.

The bottles shall arrive unlabelled, their origins unspoken. Only the most discerning of palates may hope to find the answer within the glass.

We invite you to bring your keenest senses, lliran, and to test your connoisseurship against the unknown.

Tea Party

As we reminisce upon our recent achievements and upon the events of days prior, we shall partake in an elaborate tea party: we hope to provide a full spread of carefully selected teas and delicate accompaniments, each pairing offering a number of unique flavours and confections. Though there is no specific dress code required, lliran, you are certainly encouraged to attend in the finest garb you may have.

"Ay'Alemnir, ay'Maehr'sae," exclaimed Liewyn Miravaris as he dedicated countless hours to training his prized red snail, Elnarnante Sulraell XXVIII, a direct descendant of Almaris racing champions.

Arasdir recalled fondly his collaboration with his good friend Korvec, and how together of marble they had hewn marvels of the known world. He prepared his collection of wines, to be toasted in the grand mason's honour!

The oldest of Elves sits in his newly excavated home office. Its shelves are still sleek, yet its floorboards already dusty. The occasional harumph escapes his face as he contemplates the wording of his opening speech.

"It shall certainly be one to remember."

The old President of the Haeseni Federation of Snail Racing (and also Champion of the 559 Haeseni Snailula One Championship), Tomasz van ve Karoswald, perked up as he read the missive. "A Snail Race!" He exclaimed, almost gleefully, before he began packing his bags for an extended trip to Taliyu'lin, in the hopes that he may partake.

"A whole festival in honour of a single individual?" Yuln muses, "I cannot imagine such a thing having happened in the olden days. Times truly do change." She looks up at the stone arches giving the cavern a semblance of Aheral life as she passes beneath them. "It is a lovely piece of work, and certainly Siraminde was also worthy of admiration."
She seats herself upon her favoured bench by the gate and opens her sketchbook in her lap. "A whole festival though..." She retrieves a piece of charcoal and continues her previous work. "I never got a festival. Ah, what am I saying, I am just being petty. Korvec is to be celebrated. And the younglings do like their snail races."

"..."

"Still, a whole festival?"

Atlyn lifted her rust coloured snail from its box of shame, to peer at the small beady eyes that slowly emerged from its shell.

"You better win this time"
