VA VE EDLERVIK,

DECADES HAS IT BEEN, SINCE THE SIGHTINGS OF WINGED BEASTS PLAGUED OUR LIVES AND FLEW OVER NATIONS ALL ACROSS AEVOS, CAUSING CHAOS AND DESPAIR WHEREVER THEY WENT. 

And now, a little more than seventy years later, they are back once more, continuing their attacks across Azuras against populations entirely unprepared for their arrival. To this I say, it will not do.

It was within Haense, back on Aevos during the year of 560 E.S., that I and my fellow comrades encountered our first Wyvern. Large and vicious, it caused incredible carnage throughout our lands, killing cattle and disrupting travel no matter where it went. When Haense mustered her armies and marched upon a nearby lair of one of these creatures, did we quickly discover just how dangerous they truly were.

It ripped through our siege weaponry like candy, and slaughtered half our forces before we could even manage to put a dent into it. I still recall the smell of my burnt comrades to this day.

 

 

IT IS THEREFORE, IN THE CONTINUED PURSUIT OF THE DEFENSE AND WELLBEING OF NORLAND, 

 

That I, Ser Sigmar var Ruthern, order ALL settlements across Norland to begin rapid construction OR ordering of siege weaponry and all else of which could provide us due advantage against this most ferocious foe. Norland is a nation of warriors, who fear no foe, and so we should never fear when the sounds of wings near our homes.

 

Kastell Hamaracz shall stand as a beacon of defense against these creatures should they ever dare travel to these most noble lands, and I shall gladly answer any letter seeking assistance in the creation of ballistae or other siege weaponry. Norland shall no longer stand unprepared for the arrival of these creatures, and no more shall our lands suffer for it.

 

 

I understand I am not as well-known a figure of authority as are the others who sit upon the Council, but I give this order with authority all the same that will be enforced, and whilst this is made independent of the Red Council, I nonetheless declare it as one of her Councilors. I shall make well on my word, and keep an eye across all of Norland. We must not remain unready for the foes we no doubt will continue to face.

 

STAND STRONG, MY FELLOW PEOPLES, MY KIN. OUR VICTORY SHALL YET ARRIVE.
