This is an interesting debate.

I have to admit a lot of the orcs do lack intelligence. I consider that more by culture then by race. My character is an orc, he was violent and stupid, then he leaves krugmar and moves to Laurien. (it is his other native land becuase he is a whitewash) he gets educated and a bit more cIvilized, now at the age of 80 he is a very smart Orc high ranking in an eleven guild, and he raises 2 cubs that used to be Bogs. My point is, the orcs lack certain skills becuase no one Educates them.

You sound like a white in the 1700s speaking about blacks. "They are an uneducated, barbaric, uncivilized people. They are simply of a lower intelligence than the rest of us. They are incapable of being effective leaders, performing diplomacy on any level, or earning any educational title of merit for they are dumb and unsophisticated."

The fact of the matter is intelligence is not measured by what spontaneous skills you can preform. A human farmer may have been taught agriculture through a hereditary system. That same human farmer could be a red-necked bum with the intelligence level equatable to a platypus. Then we have an Orc who is a brilliant strategist, outstanding philosopher and much more besides. But lord forbid his family never bequeathed onto him a long standing agricultural tradition and he knows not how to farm. By your definition the human is smarter because he can farm. And you call yourself educated.

First thing is first, I do not believe this to be a debate rather an asking what the facts are from the people who play as orcs (myself included).

Also it seems to me (and I do not mean to be rude in saying this, please do not take it as such) that you are mixing up education and intelect.

The general definition of intelligence is the level of abilities including abstract through, understanding, communication, reasoning, learning, planning and problem solving all of which the majority of orcs pertain to in high amounts. (I am not sure if that was the correct using of the word pertain there as I am still learning more advanced words to expand my vocabulary could someone correct me if I am incorrect in the usage of a word? Thanks)

Education in its most broadest sense is the ability in which the aims and habits of a group of people live on from one generation to the next. For example the teaching of the knowledge of adults to children in schools.

Do note that was a very broad definition of the word education and these days it is mostly related to the use of teaching in education facilities in the world today but is not limited to these things. Education can include that of just learning the habits of another culture.

The Orcs lack certain skills entertain me of what are thous skill's?

We have historians, Song writers, some of the best builders, red stone workers, diplomats.

The first race to speak there own tongue.

The funny thing is you speak of Culture, while we are the most cultured race.

I think its also a case that if you arent an orc twisted within the acrive ring of orcs, you really dont see the deep sevelopment tonit. There is a massige amiunt of history, subtly, context, and interlaced backstories that twist and turn all over the place. From the outside you see nothing but a tiny circle, but from within, it is a huge complicated web that will smack you upside the head so hard that down becomes up and the earth is the sky.

Ive been here a decent bit of time and I am.still running myself in circles trying to weave my way through the maze that is orc rp. And its DAMN hard to make me spin on my heels.
