*As you walk by Fort Ranger, you notice a big banner, with a notice attacked to the pole*

Location: Fort Ranger. Don't know where it is? There will be signs posted at the north gate in Al'Khazar.

Time: (December 10, at 5:00 pm EST, 10:00 pm GMT)

To all fighters:

Come to the Ranger War Games! If you like fighting, come! If you just wanna watch, you are also welcome! These games are mock battles, and the monks will protect you after you are defeated. Please only bring items that you are willing to lose. If you are knocked out and stripped of your possessions, they will not be refunded. We will have an on-site banker, so your minas will be safe. We also provide no supplies, unless you are willing to pay for them.

The games will progress in four stages. You can come to all, or come to just one. After all four stages are done, a festival will be held. ((If you die, you are allowed to return to the battle, you may not fight in the same stage again. You can fight in the next stage, and come to the festival.)) Each stage has a time limit.

Stage 1:

Time limit: 1 day ((roughly 15 minutes))

Type: Open field combat.

To win: Eliminate the enemy before the time is up, or have the most survivors when the time is called.

Stage 2:

Time limit: 1 day ((roughly 15 minutes))

Type: Urban combat.

To win: Eliminate the enemy before the time is up, or have the most survivors when the time is called.

Stage 3:

Time limit: 1 day and 1 night ((roughly 30 minutes))

Type: Fort assault. Team 1 is defender.

To win: Defenders: Hold the fort. Attackers: Eliminate all defenders, or get 5 men, alive, into the ring.

Stage 4:

Time limit: 1 day and 1 night ((roughly 30 minutes))

Type: Fort assault. Team 2 is defender.

To win: Defenders: Hold the fort. Attackers: Eliminate all defenders, or get 5 men, alive, into the ring.

IC Rules:

Do not kill your own teammates

Do kill the "enemy"

Do not damage the battle ground ((ie mine the walls to get in a house))

Do not attack anyone before the games begin

OOC Rules:

Do not shout excessively. /s is only allowed for team commanders and their officers. You may still talk in local chat. Just don't spam it please.

All server rules still apply

No placing blocks. It will be a nightmare for us to cleanup.

No screwing around. Hitting your own team mates for "fun"

If these games are successful, we will have more, with different kinds of fights. Ambushes, forest, mountain, etc.

Games are free! Just bring your own mug to the festival. Food will be provided.

((Actually, I didn't. I had this idea like months ago, but Felix only okayed this recently. And this is different from an arena fight. I didn't even know he had something like this.))

Hawk, I shall happily bank anyone's money for this event then pay it out afterwards, assuming I am there. I will also repair and armour for those with reagents afterwards. Heck I'll even supply all participants with bread and ale if it helps the event go down successfully. I would suggest having anyone joining post a registration here so we can organise teams in advance. That way anyone turning up on the day can be added if we have enough places and the teams can be made even, and anyone who signs up in advance can have a guaranteed place. Also, if you are taking part in the event yourself, I will help moderate and ((referee)) the war games.
