Player Of The Week: Danny!

Not so much player of the week but play of the...now? Seem's we haven't done one in a while..Anywho introducing our POTW - Danny!

*Lingering in the background, shiftnative watches from afar...*

Lirinya: Well, first off I just want to say congratulations. Out of everybody i've seen around you've cropped up the most...not sure if thats a bad thing or not! Just wanted to ask you some questions for the POTW post if thats alright?

Danny: Sure, :P

Lirinya: ALrighty! first off, do you remember the first time you arrived in Aegis as a fully fledged player?

Danny: Partly, I remember walking around Cloud Temple, then following the road to Alk'hazar. Galahar was just a tiny thing when I first went past, and I just walked into Alk'hazar, and stood around the Kings Cross, talking to people, and trying to get involved in some good RP. Then I saw Will Chapman in an office when I was leaving Alk'hazar and I went inside, and was offered a place as a mercenary. That's where my LotC story really started...

Lirinya:Did the whole thing scare you at first? take you by suprise or was it more what you expected?

Danny: I did get a bit confused at first, especially when you saw the fights going on. It was quite worrying. Seeing the guards arrest hooded figures, and fighting those who resisted. It made you feel really "nooby" on whole, as they all had iron armour and some with diamond, whilst I was wandering around in no armour, with a small bow in my hand. It's only recently I've managed to pull myself up to the level of some of the elite players, and I don't even own the arms I have! It's the way things should be though, you'd always be scared wandering in some place you've never been before, coming across people more fortunate than yourself, and eventually pulling yourself up to the middle, then the top. I didn't expect it to take this long to do it though, although, I'm glad it did.

Lirinya: Hmm it can be rather scary! Do you like how Aegis has evolved since you joined? Or did you prefer it how it was before?

Danny: I love how it's evolved. I'm one of the few that actually think the storyline with the undead is amazing. I think the amount that Aegis has changed has been really cool, and done in such a good way. It's a lot different now, with Alk'hazar gone, and the "Undead Taint" spreading across the land, but it's actually really smart, and will really help define, and epic-ise the end of Aegis 1.0 and the start of Aeigis 2.0.

Lirinya: Mhm I can't wait for the new world! Now, I don't know you ICly but how do you think your character has evolved since you started?

Danny: Servius has evolved so much, it's really strange. If I could find my app, I'd reference it, but from what I can remember, he was originally a man who owned a shop inside Alk'hazar. Now, he's a heavily trained, and armed guard at the house of a Noble Family. He was originally shy, and never really wanted to get involved in fights, now, as soon as someone insults him, or irritates him, he can turn crazed. He's become a lot of confident about his scar, and has learned to live with the fact that it won't go away.

Lirinya:It's nice to think a character can evolve and grow up as they age. Sometimes it can be difficult to keep them gonig you know? What do you think of the LOTC community as a whole?

Danny: Yeah, it can be hard to keep a character going as they age. I'm one of (I think), the few who actually ages his character with in-game time. He's gone from the age of 27 to 40 now, and he's a lot different.

The LotC community is... amazing. There are so many friendly people on it, it's increddible. I never thought so many people would be interested on RP'ing on a game like Minecraft until I joined. Most of the people are decent - amazing RP'rs, and are all really good people to talk to. In all honesty, the LotC community is simply the best online community I have ever seen, in all my time on the internet, which is one of the reasons I spend hours and hours in-server and on the forums. Also, on a totally un-relevant topic, some people on the server have amazing voices... :P Hearing Roze's voice on TS made my day, although not as much as "Arcadius" (Korey)'s.

Lirinya: Mhm I know I have a habit of not aging Lirinya..

Danny: I prefer aging Servius, eventually he will die, and his age is key to my plans for his RP. There's a huge RP plan behind his scar that I've been thinking up, that'll affect him as he grows older.

Aimed at most humans, who do not age their characters: I think that having a ever living character, is really annoying. It's roleplay, you have to accept your character will die.

Lirinya: What do you think is the most interesting RP experience you have had?

Danny: That's a really hard thing to decide on... There's been so many. The most immersive RP experience I have had, has got to be the death of Cerlos Ithelias. It was actually quite saddening in real life, I'd put the video here but I haven't uploaded it yet! :P

Lirinya: Haha fair enough, what do you think is your biggest achievement? this can be from both in game or on the forums.

Danny: Hmm. I'd have to that are probably equal. Being accepted onto the Application Team was a really big achievment for me, and I was really happy to be accepted. However, something of equal achievement for me, is most likely getting 7 +1's on my FM app, and one from Liri. :P In-game: I really am not sure, I haven't achieved a lot in-game, mainly because I usually just wander around. :P

Lirinya: Haha nice little name drop there *coughs* ;) anything you'd like to add before we wrap up here?

Danny: :P, yep, name drop. *grins*. Emm... I'd probably just like to say thanks to the whole community, for making the past 2 months (I think), so fun.
