Will there be lore on Wood Elves in 2.0?

There problebly will be Wood elven lore, but not as much as Dark elven lore.

Rolled Dark Elf after about a fifth read-through of Raymond E. Feist's Riftwar series, now THOSE were some cool Dark Elves. ;)

Me and my friends were going to form a Dark Elf village, but now having heard about the GMs planning something for the race, I think I'll sit back and just enjoy the ride.

You're right, the Dark Elves are playing a big part in 2.0.

Tis obvious ye know very little, for if ye knew even the least of the Darke Elves you would know that their history, while long and darke, is little documented, and such documents as have been created would hardly find their place in the lowly libraries of this realm.

Nae, if ye wish to be learned in the lore of the darke elves, ye must travel far indeed.

( I want to point out you criticise their knowledge of Dark Elves, yet can't spell their name right..))

being a rather booky ddark elf i am privately working on information sources for the dark elves. i will be seeking gm and lore master approval before any post so fear not. what i ask is that if you know any valid resources that you could post their name or pm them to me so that i can speed up my work

((I am disappointed. they said DARK ELVES were getting lore. Not some other elven subrace thrown into the mix. "Dark elves will be BIG in 2.0" "We need more high and wood elf lore" "GMs are doing interesting stuff with the dark elves." I see nothing. Wood elves are above us on the lore-making totem pole, and I am NOT happy about it.))

Mori ARE dark elves! But not the Aegisian ones.

No, dark elves according to the wiki are actually fairly tall. Mori are dwarf elves. And if I'm part spider how in the world did that happen? *wants to see if a druid could purify him at the thought of that*

You are both dark elves, but you've only grown diffirently because you and the mori live in diffirent circomstances, I suggest you renew your bonds with your brothers and sisters and unite the Aegisian dark elves with the Mori!

I can understand why you feel Dark Elves have gotten the short end of the stick. Especially with the Mori out, you can say you feel without an identity, as most of the role of 'Dark Elf' has been usurped and frankly, these Aegis dark Elves don't fit in anywhere.

But no sense getting upset over it. Let me tell you a secret: with a good RP and OOC channel and communication, you can boot up your own Dark Elf lore in time. Most of the subrace lore is player-made and ran, and nothing's stopping YOU from getting Dark Elves together and building something. Work hard enough and GMs WILL take notice. They might even help out.

((MAD POST! You guys are almost all talking out of character, and very few of you are using brackets!!!))

My best advice to you about researching the Dark Elves would be to look in some of the ruins abounding in the Elven Lands. You may also research how the Dark Elves have been discriminated against in the past.

((OOCly, I would look on The Elder Scrolls wiki. They have probably the BEST elf set up (sadly, we don't have dwarves, high elves, wood elves, dark elves, and orcs as all the same species on here.))
