Out-Of-Character:

Minecraft Account Name:

brrine

Did you attend minecon and sign up at the LOTC booth?:

No I was unable to attend Minecon

How old are you?:

16

Time-Zone/Country of Residence:

GMT -5, I live in the United States

Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?:

Yes, English is the only language I know; I tend to use more of the British-English grammar

Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself:

I am a gamer who likes to play Singleplayer RPG's. I also like to work with technology like computers and electronics. I also like to design new plans like architectural drawings and sometimes and, (to the best of my ability), implement them in game.

How much time could you be on the server weekly?:

Most likely I would be on daily. I would probably be able to be on multiple hours.

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you.:

Roleplaying is something I have been doing in games for years. I think it stretches the mind in imaginative ways. Your actions dictate the story, whether you do good or evil, there is an irreversible outcome to that.

Roleplaying is where you take a character, who you are not, and becomes them until you have stopped doing that activity or playing the game. The character is an entirely other person who has a history, family, occupation. Players should speak to others when in game as if both of them are in character.

In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are.

Metagaming is exploiting features outside of that game to speak through voice or text dealing with in-game events. It is used to surpass the rules layed out to affect gameplay, learning information about in-game characters and events in ways outside the game. Metagaming is never good for roleplaying as it is not realistic to the environment of the server.

Powergaming is exploiting in-game features or mechanics to further the player or players ahead of others. Some powergame in a way that their character is 'perfect', with no physical or emotional setbacks. In a way it is not 'sportsman' like. Characters that powergame often do not coincide with the lore of the server, a single character cannot do everything.

What do you expect this server will be like?:

I have heard that there is a strict code of roleplay, I expect it to be rich in the colours of different characters, factions, and guilds. Players might be in-character most of the time, if not all, and also follow the rules and guidelines.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:

I have played on a server simply noted as 'Averad's', it was not an RP server and not the best managed. I have also played on 'TheKingdomsMC', the server was not bad at all.

Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?:

Yes

How did you hear about us?:

I heard on some highlights of Minecon that there was a booth there and just now remembered to look you up. Also some other Minecraft players talked about joining your server.

Have you voted for the Lord of the Craft on Minestatus? Which vote number were you?

I have voted I think I am vote 3,621 or 3,622

What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name?:

In-Character:

Character Name:

Andil Direnni

What is your Race?:

Elf

Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

Appearance: Andil is an average height elf, with muscular arms (that of a blacksmith). He has light skin and light blonde hair that goes back and down past his shoulders. He has high cheekbones with slightly sunken cheeks. His eyes are a slight reddish colour and he has a slightly pointy chin. He appears aged to his late thirties to early forties in human years. He wears light leather armour that is brown with green cloth.

Age: 130

Personality: Andil is good humoured with a strong work ethic. He gathered knowledge as a child, (I will get to this in the history).

History: Andil was born into the Direnni family; his grandfather was a scholar and mage who devoted his life to learning magic and always kept himself locked up in his study, surrounded by books. His grandmother died in an attack by bandits before Andil was even born. The incident left his grandfather in grief; he would rarely leave his study, for he blamed himself for the incident. His father, who couldn't stand to see his own father that way, turned to crafting and different forms of magic. His father thought to help people with his magic so that people would not suffer from losing family or friends. As Andil was growing up he started to learn about much of the ancient world through books. Andil also started to learn archery. But one day while out in the forest practicing his archery, Andil became lost.

He wandered for hours until nightfall when he became worried that he may never be found. Andil walked for hours more into the night until he broke out of the forest and found a village. He came into the village looking for help when he ran across a human by the name of Darius. Darius was the town's blacksmith. The town's people not knowing anything of the elven town where Andil came from could not help him get back. So Darius the blacksmith decided to take Andil in until he was old enough to go out on his own. Under Darius, Andil learned how to work the forge and smith tools and weapons. Not nearly a professional training, but it would suffice. After some years of being an apprentice, Andil decided it was time to leave and search for his homeland.

After a few days preparation in gathering supplies, Andil leave back into the forest in which he came out of so long ago. Many weeks pass as he scours the forest, but he finds nothing until he comes upon a clearing in the forest that used to have houses in it. There is scorched wood across the ground and many items of people who once lived there. Andil searches the ruin until he comes across an old journal which he instantly recognizes as his father's. Overcome with grief and anger, Andil flees back to his camp. The next day he decides to return and scavenge any tomes or books possible so that he might continue the work his father had done to help people. He leaves the forest and takes a ship towards the land of Aegis. On his journey he is exploring a rather rocky area, when he falls and gets caught between a few large boulders. Trying to get himself unstuck, he hears some voices of passing travellers. He cries out for help and is approached by a group of elves. Elves! The race that he has not seen in quite a long time! Joyful, he asks to accompany them and help people along their journey….

Your characters ambitions:

Andil hopes to help people as was his father’s ambition, to accompany the group of elves and help them as well. Andil also hopes to perhaps settle with them.

Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do?

Andil would use the sword he forged himself to distract the bandits so that the elf may flee. If the elf decides to help in combat, we would attempt to defeat the bandits.

Your character walks up to a shop in the middle of Al'Khazar. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer?

Andil would reply, 'Greetings sir, what might you be selling today?' And inquire what kinds of books or other ancient or foreign wears the merchant might have. Andil might also be looking for supplies for his forge.
