The Future Of Gameplay Mechanics

Hey Aegis,

I'm writing this news post to address what is going to become of the future of LotC. I'm currently working on re-coding the mast majority of our plugins for optimization and friendliness. I'm not going to be implementing any of these new plugin updates until the new map, because we have so many small nasty bugs in our current world that I don't want to attempt to fix any of them until we're on the nice fresh world. I'll be doing a massive overhaul to all of our plugins and making them much more user friendly and directive. I won't say much more so I don't spoil the epic surprises of "Aegis 2.0" but it's going to be amazing ^.^.

Once Aegis 2.0 is fully out and running smoothly with our new changes, I'm going to begin work on making GUIs for ingame use. Such as party systems, user bars, player frames, floating damage, message windows, proper character cards, etc, etc. This will all be done through Spout API of course.

On a side note, Native a few other senior GMs & I are working very quietly on a project unrelated to minecraft, but it's something that we think you'll all find amazing and hugely addictive. We'll release more information on this after Aegis 2.0 drops next Friday.
