I agree that we should be more active. The main reason that I'm considering changing race is because when I first joined, there was very little for my character to do as a dwarf to support the dwarven nation.

Just yesterday, I offered to help with the refugee camp in Outer Kal'Urguan, and was completely ignored. I find that if you don't have a high position or friends in high places there's very little for you to do in Kal'Urguan.

Join a Clan, or Guild! Gives you friends in high places and/or the possibility to one-day be in the government, great roleplay, lots of fun! I seriously don't see why more people don't join Clans or Guilds, makes no sense to me.

Because, not everyone wants to fit in.

Flynn does not have a family, nor a guild. Nor do I want him to have one. It makes no sense to me why people want to join guilds, it just seems unoriginal. Idk, just that is the way I am.

I'm sure the Dwarves of 2.0 will have plenty of interesting roleplay to look forward to in the next map, here's why.

If you remember, before all of the undead and end of the world events came along, we were involved in a war that came as a result of months of brewing rivalries, between all four of the nations and their allies. Wardens hated us because of what happened at Wrath's Clutch, humans and orcs hated each other because of the battles along the King's Road, particularly Kramoroe and we had grown friendly with the humans, having helped create Tazarak in the Verge. It ended up in a world war that for the first two days, involved Dwarves and Humans against Orcs, Wardens and the Teutonic Order although the Elves decided to pull out fairly quickly. It's a shame we had to set aside the nation wars, in favour of teaming up against the undead but to those who took part in the battles, you'll know how fun a time it was. We'd originally hoped the Wardens would attack us before that as we'd heard rumours of their plans, although this unfortunately never happened before the Wardens started to die out.

Obviously, the alliances have changed a little and with the new nations getting involved, things won't be the same as they were back then but in my opinion, this war was simply put on hold. As some of you may know, nation war will be encouraged on the new map and so with these old rivalries and friendships starting to show up again in this world already, I think you're going to see a lot of conflicts in the near future which should hopefully create some interesting roleplay for you all.

Perhaps, one of the things that I'll miss most about the Dwarves is that I won't be playing a role in the next stage of Kal'Urguan's wars. Now with our trouble with Alras, I can imagine there will be a lot more interesting decisions for the Dwarves to make as a nation. Whoever fills in the positions of the Grand Councilors will have a lot of work to do, I assure you of that. :P

As for whether or not, the Dwarves should stay more to themselves and not get involved in other nations' conflicts, it's really up to whoever is in charge. I know many Dwarves may disagree but my character has always followed the view that if an ally or potential ally is in need, they should be helped, hence why we've often gone to war quite a lot in these past few months. While Flynn, you may think we took the wrong decision in helping the Phoenix rebels, remember who it was who helped Kal'Urguan when we were sieged by Orcs and Elves. If you do not help an ally, they are then less likely to help you in the future.

However, If whoever takes over the role of Grand Councilor takes a different stance, let them, it's entirely down to their character's RP. Also remember, that after Thorik became king, it was the Longbeards, the commanders of the Legion who became the Grand Councilors. It was always our plan to make us more war like than we had been in the past which I think was relatively successful.

Things often used to get boring for a lot of us when there weren't wars and so I do agree, there needs to be more events inside the city itself for Dwarves, whether it be arena battles, feasts or anything else. I also agree that we need to bring back some of the old guard RP as it used to be :P A rise in teamspeak activity means we've gotten a little more lazy when it comes to RP, making it quite difficult for a lot of new dwarves to settle in properly. Hopefully, in the future, this can be improved to make things much easier for dwarves, entering the city for the first time.

Well on a post about land claim Shiftnative said if you don't like a town/village/city you can siege it! You can see the exact quote in my sig.

Yay someone remembers Kramoroe!

But on a serious note each clan should decide whether or not to fight in a war were potential allies could be gained. Each clan should decide what they do even though the king has announced that we are making war on a nation.

Good rp should also be implemented. I came here for good rp and we (the seasoned vets) should be helping the greenies out. Teamspeak should be used like the ooc chat, without all the spam though. Also if you want or need help come check out the Nawari we are decent rpers and that is what we are based around.

And other nations should fear the dwarves, we are a strong race and are absolutely marvelous with our amazing beards. But imagine a solid wall of dwarves in diamond plate, axes drawn, approaching your battery line or gate to your castle. I would love to see this in game against the fakin greenskins.
