Dwarves And 2.0

Not 100% sure how the government of the new Dwarf capital will run, But I had a few ideas I thought I would run by everyone.

King

Figurehead of the dwarves. Who everyone looks to for strength and power.

High Council

Handful of members that each rule a sector of the Dwarven kingdom. Guilds, Economics, War, Clans, and Diplomatic.

Weekly meetings of each of these sectors allows the heads of each are to relate questions, problems, and suggestions to the High Council members. (ex: Head of each guild meets with Guild Council member every other Tuesday)

Bi-Weekly Council meetings allow high council members to relay these findings to the king and decisions can be made for the betterment of the kingdom. In decision making, King counts as 2 votes, meaning 3/5 High council members could overthrow his decision.

Monthly elections within the sectors would allow members who are interested in gaining experience in a government position the chance to sit on the council. (Fresh ideas every month or so.) Slumping progress or bad showing by a Council member could enact an emergency election within the sector.

Clan meetings, guild meetings, Legion meetings, and economic summits could happen on a regular basis and allow hard working members to rise up and voice there opinions, and possibly put new leaders at the head of some flailing groups. Likewise, Diplomacy with other nations could benefit from monthly feasts, tournaments, or gatherings of any kind.

Just some thoughts. Figured I'd throw it out there.

That's basically like the current one if everyone participates. Mainly now only the Grand Councillors and High Lords participate within Kal'Urguan politically, lemme tell you how it is actually supposed to be.

- King -

His vote counts as 2 and he is a member of the Grand Council.

- Grand Councillors -

Each Grand Councillor's vote counts as 2 within their sector E.G If topic is War Related, Grand Councillor of War will get 2 votes within it.

- High Lords -

High Lords are advisors and organisers for the Grand Councillors and nearly all high lords become Grand Councillors.

- Lower Council -

Made up of GuIlds & Clan leaders however useless as of now. We will make a better purpose for the Lower council in 2.0. Lower council is supposed to look for flaws or come up with ideas, introduce them to a Grand Councillor and then we discuss of the issue/suggestion reaching a verdict.

- Guilds & Clans -

Guilds and Clans can go up to the Grand Councillor of Guilds and reach him out with their concerns, needs or anything that may be bothering them. If a guild needs more land they can post a query to the Grand Councillor to get more land or get declined for it.

The Dwarves have several resources but we do not use them efficiently, their is a way for everyones voice to be heard we are not like other nations in which if you have an issue it doesn't get addressed we are a community and we like to hear out each other for their needs or ideas. Also in 2.0 we are introducing a new set of rules and restrictions and also things for each sector to do. Hopefully that answered your question but yes, their will be a slight re-form in 2.0 for the lower sectors E.G Lower Council, Guilds & Clans however the high sectors will stay the same.

Dammit mili..... ugh either way... I kinda thought of a cool thing and wrote it down months ago but found the paper

This is to thorik or whoever is in charge right now

High Councial stays as it is (they will have their different jobs and such)

The lower council becomes the Clan council. Only the top 5 clan leaders can be in this and have meetings and such on the kingdom and present ideas to the other group and king.

Both groups can impeach the king if they have the support needed enough. it would be like the two houses of congress in America. both have their individual power but must rely on each other to get things done.

Love the idea of the clans being more involved since the clans should be the majority of dwarves anyway.

^This. In my preferred fantasy world, if A dwarf is without a Clan he is shunned or exiled, not a dwarf in their eyes. I think that unless you plan to start your own Clan, you should have to pick a Clan when you join.

Some players don't like being involved with a clan, they like being on their own. Or say they came from far away and have no blood connections with Kal'Urguan. Clans should be an option, but it should be encouraged, joining a clan helps new players learn how to role-play and helps them get started.

The lower council (if given a purpose) should be for only Guild Leaders and Clan leaders so the people in the lower council represent the dwarfs in their guild/clan. For now they are useless since High Lords, Grand Councilors and the King do all of the work. In 2.0 they should have a meeting every two weeks to discuss matters of Kal'Urguan and the High Lords that attend the meeting report what has been discussed to the Grand Councilors. Maybe appointing a head of the lower council would give them more organization and allow one person to take charge in holding a meeting.

I started as a dwarf with no clan from a far away land. After realizing all the fun I could have as an Irongut(and being forced to join by Algrim and Hiebe) I created a pretty good connection to the clan that even connected to my back story on my original application. I gotta say. Having a clan makes this server SO much better.

I know! But the new players are not even shown thatthere are clans!

New players should have read the wiki and know our lore just to get accepted onto the damned server! If they were not aware of the clans, they shouldn't have been accepted in the first place.

There's a lot of things players must learn to get on this server, especially if they've never role-played before. So, it's understandable that they might not learn about the clans right away. That's why we need to be welcoming to new dwarves, make them feel apart of something bigger.
