Divided We Fell

It is as I always said, and it.is how it shall be. I wonder now writing this if anyone truely forswear the events leading up to today, but all I know is that if they did, they would have probably thrown themselves off a tower in despair. I remember years ago when talk of revolt riled the people of Oren, their hearts made wild by empty promises and foolish lies. We humans grew stupid and dumb, content to believe we could not fall in our great capitol, believing there was no way the Undead could ever cause us to waver while we dealt with petty disputes.

I urge you to look out the flap of your tent now at the crumbling remains of our once great dwelling places. Al' Kazar, a hollow shell of what it was, Alras lies in ruin, and though it was not human by definition, we lived there just as the other races did. Galahad has gone barren, people fleeing the onslaught, and Whisper has been flooded and destroyed. The Hanseti. And the dozens of factions and Aeriel knows what other humans are out there can only watch as we are picked off one by one, perhaps as I write this they are under attack now. Look, humans. See what you have wraught upon the land, for the Levi has broken, and water pours out in a flood that cannot be contained bu any other race. Oh, you rave of refugees and outcasts, hark this day, your pitiful meals of rebellion have damned us all, and you have naughty but yourself to blame.

((just a friendly spell/grammar check... Well, the only error I shall tell ya about is the last one... Last sentence, should be naught, not naughty... Though we have been naughty, and have recieved our punishment for it... GOD we have been nau- .... I believe I am done for the night.))

*sighs as he practices on an string intrument that Brevias gave to him, a momento of what is current*

My friend, do not assume that the humans has started this first. We humans have tried to stem the tide, we have tried to cut the river. Yet even a country such as ours can not simply wave the Undead threat back like a fly to rotten meat.

We HAVE tried to fight political corruption. We HAVE tried to not let the Undead pass through our halls, and at least some of the "humans" in which you so describe have tried to not let this happen.

These were the military. The Kings, Lord, and Princes. The Bureaucratic government and its corrupted ties to the underbelly of the villains themselves.

Yes, we have failed, but people just don't understand now what is right and wrong. We are headless chickens trying to survive, the tide of the Undead rising against us.

So yes, we did get our just desserts. but now is not the time to choke up on these concerns. THe bigger threat is the Undead, and if Renatus can not hold....well...Renatus was a idiotic country, but none the less.

It doesn't matter if we learn from our mistakes, as we already paid the price many times over.

*thinks back* We are not the only ones that have done bad things, so don't just go blaming us but I agree we have a lot of blame on us but we have paid our due many times. For now lets just focus on the undead then we can continue what happen before.

The Humans have always had the burden of the Undead living to the north. That was why settlements such as Winterfell were established, to try and keep the Undead away. Humans have payed a terrible price for being unable to stem the tide in lives and land lost, but so have the other nations. Although it is said often that unity among Aegeans would be the best defense against the Undead, this has not happened...

Renatus did not destroy Oren. Al'Khazar and the north fell during the reign of King Enor. We are not weak, despite the loss of land. Humans have strength beyond what they can imagine. As for the gods, I believe that Aeriel smiled upon us during the Battle for Galahar, as the city was not taken and tainted. We fought hard with her guidance.

For the price the humans have paid defending the north, all we get is blame and rebuttal? Will humans being united bring back our dead warriors, our slain citizens, and our murdered loved ones? No it will not! Yes, Renatus split from Oren, forming the KoR and the RoH, but that did not weaken the humans, because even though we split, the amount of humans didn't lessen. It is not time to bemoan about the split of the humans, save that for later.

We abandoned Galahar in order to better strengthen Kal'Urgan. We all know that Galahar can not stand up to a fully committed attack by the Undead. If you do not believe me, you should see that half of Galahar was tainted in a single, half-hearted attack by the Undead.

My point, one human to many, is that Aegis relied on US as the buffer. We were to keep back the tide, but we bickered and fought with eachother, and puny civil disputes kept us from rallying ourselves as one cohesive force. Now the other races bear the consequence of OUR mistakes, and we hide in their skirts, hoping they might give us reprive.

Oren was still going after Al Khazar fell we could have salvaged our position but no the revolution tore Oren apart and destroyed it when Renatus was born Oren died. (( and In my opinion you can't base Rp on Al Khazar falling considering it was a planned event so starting a revolt over that is stupid also my character belives in different gods so dont take it to literally from me =) ))

((Scripted RP events are still RP events....

(( it may have still been an Rp event but it is unfair for you to use that as a reason to gain power considering Enor could not help it and it is not his fault but never mind he is co-ruling a new nation that should be awesome ))

((You do know that Enor helped plan that event. He was the one who helped script the event.
