I apologize if I am posting this charter in the wrong sub forum. I am not exactly sure in what territory this location is placed in. This application was written on behalf of Alvaska and the rest of the White Raven guild. This new thread was created to match the current charter application system.

TOWN CHARTER

Town Name: The town's full name is Aliquam Purus, but most people just call it Aliquam.

Why are you/your character starting this town? What role will it play?

The fall of Aegis brought huge changes to the White Ravens. Many in the guild perished by the dark hand of the undead or were slowly asphyxiated by the growing clouds of miasma. Alvaska, was one of the many brave warriors who set off to the nether in the hopes of destroying this ever looming threat. Many fine and brave men died in that battle, but Alvaska was one of the lucky few who escaped the horrors unscathed. Upon reaching the new world of Asulon, he realized that the lack of cooperation between the many lands of Aegis was what led to its inevitable downfall. Alvaska began putting resource that the White Ravens had available to ensuring that something like the disorganization that led to the of Aegis will never happen again. The town of Aliquam is the culmination of months of hard work on behalf of the White Ravens. It is in this town that all the nations of Asulon can congregate to discuss issues that are important to all nations. It will be a Asulonian Geneva of sorts being politically neutral but hosting many international events. While the White Ravens will maintain an important presence, they are only mediators of the international forum that they hope to set up.

What type of political system is enforced in this town? Is this town under the reign of any other nation at this time?

The town of Aliquam will be an oligarchical type government. What this means is that the real power in the town is centered around a council of four people. They will make all decisions in the town based on construction and real estate. The leader of the council is known as the Praetor, who is similar to the mayor of most other towns. The Praetor's role in the government is to propose any legislation dealing with the town. He will cast the tie breaking vote in the event that the council cannot reach a decision in the matter. The White Raven order as a whole will make all decisions regarding the town's political affiliation.

What sort of behavior will residents exhibit? (Race relations, nation relations, etc.)

As the purpose of Aliquam is to facilitate and foster diplomatic decisions among the nations, all nations and all races are welcome in the town. Each nation will have an embassy in which they can send an emissary which again is in the hopes to foster international cooperation. The town's residents themselves are expected to obey the laws mandated by the White Ravens. Any citizen who breaks these rules will be exiled from the town for at least 1 elven week depending on the severity of the crime. It is hoped that Aliquam be a multicultural town, but currently it will have a high proportion of humans and elves due to the composition of the White Ravens.

The location of Aliquam will be at x -1270 and z 682. The town will be built near the water to allow different nations easy access to the town without having to travel a lengthy land route.

Any other details (architecture, races, culture, etc):

The architecture of Aliquam will be a fairly standard homes, with a basement, two floors, and a balcony.

However, the different embassies of each nation will be built in the style of that nation. That means that the embassy of the elves will be made of wood and leaves, the embassy of the dwarves will be mostly stone brick and so on and so forth.

Architecture is imperial.

Prototype is mostly done.

Keep in mind this is only the start of the actual city, the gianormous beast that it will inflate into will be seen in the future. We will most likely have resident houseing for the city and a pehaps the imperial and elder council palace crated for this land plot.

The town is funded by my guild, and we will ensure nuetral ground are kept there.

IMPORTANT NOTE

This city/town will feature cheap and affordable houses so that necomers may be immeadiatley indulged into qaulity architecture and homing to get started on the server. This city is meant to act as a major boost and push for the new comers of lotc to learn the ropes.
