With bare and bloody hands, Uzggoth Lud'Gorkil pounds a signpost into the ground outside of the slaughterhouse gate.

Whoever da skah been killing da livestock of Jutra and of da War Uzg, let dis be a warning. If me catch latz, me is going to flay da skin from latz and wear it as a loin cloth. Me is going to hack da meat from latz wit a rusty lusk, chunk by chunk, and feed it to da boarz. Den me is going to cut off latz head and mount it on dis signpost right here. Latz hands, me is going to cut off and wear around my neck until dey shrivel up and rot away, because latz is no more den a filty bandit. Dis skah hab no place in da War Uzg. Latz will be flat on peep in my eye.

He spits into the sand and storms off.

((Seriously, stop. Jutra's farm was emptied and now the entire inventory of cows and pigs in our own gated slaugherhouse within the War Uzg has been killed off. If I find out who the skah you are, I'm throwing the book at you and hunting you to the grave. God forbid if you're a fellow orc with perms.))

((After 1.1, ask a GM to plop down some spawn eggs. Hopefully they will.))

((That's actually a good idea. From now on, let's take screenshots of our livestock when we have our ranches established as proof, just in case they get cleared. Hopefully animals will spawn in the wilds eventually, even if it's at a reduced rate. Right now though, it seems that they're turned off. Maybe we can do a /modreq to get two of each animal egged back in whenever we get griefed.))

((I was reading somewhere and I wish I could find the exact wording - but something about passive mobs being "off" in the region? - would something like this be the reason we're losing all our animals.

I'll go try and find that post again.))

Only bannable if you dont have a VA, since wolves and livestock are treated as other players/characters.

((It is bannable if you kill the entire field of animals, leaving them with nothing to rebreed, just as it would be bannable if you looted a player's entire stockpile of chests. If I find that a player is doing this, a ban report will be in order. The problem is, there's no way to prove it, other then witnessing it first-hand.

I'm pretty sure "passive mobs" refers to the non-aggressive animals that would naturally spawn. Animals aren't currently respawning, which is why this is even more of a pain when they're griefed. The only animals we have access to are those which were generated with the seed and it's chunks when we first arrived, the ones we've bred from them, and any that are spawned in using eggs.))

((Okay, so I guess passive mobs are being wiped after each server crash. Breeding is currently off and spawns are extremely rare. All of this will be getting tweaked by Vaq shortly. We don't have a traitor in our midst and I can keep my current dwarven, neckbeard loincloth.))
