kirikoizmuki 14 Share Posted January 21, 2012 *a sign hangs upon a tree as it simply reads "Hello.. My name is Kiriko Izmuki an elf of course. I am interesting in learning the ancient elf language if there is any leads to a placer or person who can help me to do so.. this would be rather nice"

kirikoizmuki 14 Author Share Posted January 26, 2012 ((being 1000 years old i have a grasp on it but i want to learn more. i will admit i should mention were the tree is so allow me to fix it to the more rp stature)) You happen upon a tree in the grand city of malinor it being just outside the city yet easily found it reads "seeking knowladge of the ancient elven languge. I have a slight grasp on it in my old age. But i wish to return to our roots and learn more. Come to Normandor and seek the Archmage."

Sporadic 2844 Share Posted January 27, 2012 ((1000 Isn't old in Elven. :) ) ((in 'general' years, it definitely is. Nobody really gets the whole elven/dwarven/human year comparison anyway so just assume general years from the speed with which the date changes ingame)). Elindor 666 Share Posted January 28, 2012 ((I don't understand how you can be an Archmage. Who ordained that?)) Those who know the language in enough depth to teach beyond minor pleasantries and titles seems to have dropped in number since Aegis fell. I hope you can find someone with the knowledge of more Elven than I have forgotten.

Aedan The Bard 350 Share Posted January 29, 2012 *Aedan places a note in reply* I've learned some bits of an old elven language. Unfortunately, I do not know if this is in fact elven language or another variation, seems to be more ancient than the High Elven.

Laurir'leh 2 Share Posted January 29, 2012 *Another note is attached* I am afraid High Elven isn't a language. Old-years' High Elves used a very similar variation of the common Old Elven. Or so it seems reading the books in the Haelun'or library.

Aedan The Bard 350 Share Posted January 31, 2012 It's like now a days: We all speak the same language, but, Orcs speak a different variation, Dwarves speak other, Elves another one, Humans the main one, etc. It wouldn't be strange if we find each sub race of elves spoke a variation of the main one.
