The Charter For Lowencaster (29 Supporters)

EDIT: This charter is for the purpose of SEEING if it would be accepted and given protected land to live on. I am currently soliciting this town to Alras as well. But depending on a certain compromises success, we may decide to go to the wilds instead.

MC Name:Todd877

RP Name:Head_Battlemage_Maverik

Town Name:Lowencaster (this is a town application.

Why are you/your character starting this town? What role will it play?

I want to rp it growing around The Drunken Dragon, a magical themed tavern I also plan on opening in the new Aegis. To sum up the purpose of this town, I want it, my tavern, and all residents to present act out, and live a magic oriented life. Since there has been to my knowledge no other town like this before, I hope to make a example for others to follow. It will also, in my mind anyways, help regulate magic rp by getting a majority of it in one place. Also, I plan to make it a neutral town; we will not collectively participate in any conflicts with other nations unless attacked. Orc raiders included.

What type of political system is enforced in this town? Is this town under the reign of any other nation at this time?

I would prefer that we are allowed our own self government. The rp logic behind it is that we are a town of magic-users. Who would want to mess with that fire-power? Of course, if we are accepted in Alras, deference will be made. But in all conflicts we remain neutral. The town would descend into chaos if magic-users decided to start dueling one another over political differences.

Edit: Here is the proposed political system.

Head Council-man (impartial magic user, possibly mage)

The Circle (representatives of the different groups)

Battle Mages (the town watch)

I plan for it to have a Head Council-man and council, with the town guard being the Battle Mages. I hope to find a player, possibly from the Mage's Guild or Druidic Circle that will be willing to do this.

To apply for Head Council-man, please pm your qualifications for this position to me.

If you want to apply for a position in the Circle, you must wait until the town is set up and the different groups will get together and chose the persons for the job.

The circle is chosen based on the votes of a group of magic users. If you are in a minority, say a alchemist, wizard, warlock, witch, or some other type you will be a part of whatever group that best fits your magic.

What sort of behavior will residents exhibit? (Race relations, nation relations, etc.)

Besides it being a magic rp atmosphere, the only noticable trait that the residents will show is their slight prejudice to non-magic users. Otherwise when it comes to groups, you are divided by your calling, not your race. To clarify greater golems, people rping as sentinent monsters, and to my slight charinge, Vampires (if allowed) will be allowed to congregate there.

Where would you prefer the town’s region be, and how large? Including a screenshot of the land would be nice (of game or map).

This will be a 2.0 town with the 40x40 space.

I'm thinking in the snowy mountain valley, gives it a nice isolated backdrop. No specific place in the wilds had been decided upon yet.

Any other details (architecture, races, culture, etc):

Architecture will not have a specific theme. The indiviual buildings will be built by the residents, and each will want his specific flair. Mainly thinking of druids and shamans. There has been a particular mage that wants to make his home float a few block off the ground. But there will be some restrictions for making it too clashing with each other. They will ALL have to be within 6x6 area, no exceptions.

So this is this a town or City charter then

and do you have the Minas required, or a Diamond/Bedrock VIP willing to use their land claim?

This is a town. I was under the impression that you got Wild land for free?

Yes, this seems to be a re-occuring problem. I think it was due to the wording of the forum. Also, I can understand that cities must be paid for in minas, but towns in the wilds should not require minas.

I think by what native means is do you have the minas or vip status to pay for the land permissions, even if the town is in the wilds its still required that you pay for the size of the town/city plot protections.
