Aye, this is a good system. If I may impose some changes? As the leader uv un uv three prominent Dwarven cities, I suggest that use uv these.. councils is greatly overused. We are done with most uv 'em. There should be two councils, un made up uv the kings and un uv the clans. Nothin' more then that. What I think we should 'ave, is somethin like..

The 'olds uv the Nation

The Race is allied under a common empire. 'olm, Karik, & Kal’Dwain are each independent holds. Each 'old is ruled by a High-Thane, who pays allegiance te the High-King in the form of taxes (In the form of ore, which may be collected by any means), trade, and troops when the High-King declares war.

The Capital

The Capital is defined as the Hold of the current High-King. It shall be the official capital of the Dwarves, and will hold the main bases for every Official Guild.

Positions and Powers Within the Empire

The 'igh King

Chosen by the Thanes every 50 years?

The powers uv the the high-king include diplomacy with other nations and the ability te go te war.

'igh-Thane

The ruler uv a 'old, is out ranked only by the 'igh-King. The 'igh-Thane resides within 'is 'old, and presides over all of it’s day to day affairs. The 'igh-Thane is a hereditary position unless the 'igh-King believes the next in line te be unfit fer rule.

Thane

An important figure within un uve the 'olds, is outranked by the High-Thane, who is in turn outranked by the 'igh-King. Is a distinguished member uv the Dwarves ((A Donator or important member of a 'old. EX: Clan Lords)), who will receive a small plot of land on which to build a small estate or town if one is available or 'as been designated for creation by the king. This is optional, and the Thane can chose to live anywhere in any uv the 'olds.

The Clan Council

Meets often and suggests changes te the king based on the decisions they make. The clans should nay be abolished, our culture is clans, our lively'ood is clans, our blood is clans..

We be changin' deos ways, da dwarves wish fer te system tu be less clan based as we wunt te clans tu be moar ov a social family sort ov deal den a right tuh power and roght tuh dem selves! An' we will be plannin' da council bit differently moar along da loines ov workin' groups sum wit loike da kingdom's guilds!

Aye and my system is perfect fer that. The clan council, as ye can see 'ere, only as the power te make suggestions. Its only purpose is a government sponsored meetin 'uv all uv the family leaders te speak uv ideas.

Lad, we ain't Northernors, det sounds like a Nort'enor system.... (Reminds me of Skyrim xD)

As Dwarves we stick to 'un place, our 'omes. We shuuld rarely expand aside from 'olding outposts. As beasts of traditions, we shuuld reside in our traditional city, Karik. All expansions shuuld be turned into outposts, radder den fully-fledged independent towns.

We are forging a nation, not a confederacy. Confederacy's be weak, un-dwarvenlike, and powerless. Essentially we've got 'un right now, a coalition of cities and nations. But we need to unify, all come to 'un place, and wurk on det un place and wurk on insuring our culture and race thrive.

And no one said det de clans wuuld be abolished. As fer de' Clans, de clans will never be abolished. "owever, de Clans 'ave become focused on insuring demselves, and because o' dis we had problems like nearly every Irongut leavin' Karik over Hiebes quarrels wit' T'orik. De' Dwarves shuuldn't 'ave dun det. Dere nation comes first, d'ere home n' 'd'ere race, n' kin shuuld come 'fore all. Clans act as family groups, not seperate factions n' kingdoms

(I do wanna note though that we cannot perform any kind of reform without having all the dwarves back in Karik. Remember, most of Karik is Dwarf-only. We can't go around hiring elves and humans to help work on reforms like other nations can. We NEED to unify, we need to be concentrated in one area, as otherwise our numbers are too thin and we are too spread out to sustain our nation

With our current population I can't see us using all these other towns and nations while reforming Karik as a whole. As Dwarves, Karik should come first, its our home and where all of our culture lies. Our forefathers perished there and we should honor them for it. Splitting everyone up into a coalition or Confederacy will give us too little manpower to actual instate reforms and fix up Karik. We need everyone back, at least for now.)

offcourse clans are focused on themselves, wouldnt you? they are family, we all are family but the ones in your clan are the closest. i follow me king, but thorik is also me cousin and i will follow im till death! even when he isnt the King anymore. also clans are one of the most important things in our tradition, except for ores and war. but clans are realy important, this makes dwarves strong enough to stand up for themselves. and clans arent the problem, it are the dwarves in the clan. if they are loyal to their brother or cousin, then ofcourse they will follow him. clans are important and they need a seperate council, i think most of the ideas of you are good, but the clans need to have their own council.

I s'pose de' clans can organize a council tew speak bout d'ere opinons. But nuttin' ever gets done in Clan Council meetin's anyw'o. It cuuld be a recommendation meeting to de' 'igher councils.

N' de priorities of de' kingdom n' de race shuuld come 'fore loyalty of a clan. As I've said, yer a Dwarf of the Dwarven Race first, then a Dwarf of the Braveaxes. So support yer Dwarven Kingdom 'fore supportin' yer clan. Yer clan still be of utmost importance t'ough, dey are yer kinsmen. "owver, if de' kingdom isn't supported, den yer clan will be open to invaders as dey mallock t'rough yer city turnin' it tew rubble.

(I suggested this on ts to charlise, sack the idea of Grand king, make the three nations a council system, were all three kings sit there on equal power. every king has full control of his land, his people his army's etc etc. You would be united but not united at the same time.

It makes sense in rp, Why would Hibe allow some one to be a grand king over him? why would the guy in underholm allow it?

It dose not work in rp sense, but the three kingdom union works better I believe.)

((I am the guy from Underholm XD, but we are planning the grand king as a representitive not quite a full leader. But this depends on the position of plan though. Currently I am attempting to become the grand king and I bet hiebe wouldn't mind rply! As he's seen the reign of old king charles grimlie.))
