MC name: BoogerBuster

IC name: Drakinroth

What weapon you are most comfortable with (and your stats for swords, axes, archery, wrestling and smithing): Swords (40), Archery (10).

How long have you lived in Salvus: I do not live in Salvus; however, I spend almost all of my time there, and plan to get a house as soon as possible.

Why do you wish to join the Peacekeepers: Again, I hang around in Salvus often, specifically Solace, and would like to join the guard to help protect the land I love.

What military experience (if any) do you have: My military résumé:

Former Ascended; Guard of the Gates of Haven

Former Undead

Currently in the Orcish Military as the rank "Destroyer"

Former Bloodsworn Member

Former Al'Khazar Guard

Apprentice Druid

Apprentice Shaman

From all of these I have learned the art of Sword and Magic combat. I can currently use the Water element as a weapons against enemies, if need be.

*Inazuma steps up to the large fort in front of him, atop the hill in Salvus. Looking around, he takes a letter from his inner robe pocket, creasing it perfectly and going inside. He tucks it next to the member board, waiting for it to be read.*

MC name: ((Voidsoldier))

IC name: My name is Inazuma.

What weapon you are most comfortable with (and your stats for swords, axes, archery, wrestling and smithing): I suppose my greatest skill, would be with the blade. I will not lie, I am not the best, though I am training hard. My role as a peacekeeper is to maintain order in any way possible, but if it is not needed, my sword will remain sheathed. Violence and threats does not stop more violence and more threats. ((100 swords, none in the others))

How long have you lived in Salvus: Not long, and I do not yet live here. I spend my time with in the inn, or under the gazebo. I have yet to meet many of the denizens here, though it will happen soon, and once I have enough money I will most certainly buy a home.

Why do you wish to join the Peacekeepers: I wish to join the peace keepers, because they stand for everything I uphold. Law, truth, honesty, integrity, trust, passion, a peace keeper is all of these things. If possible, my blade will not be drawn, I will not endanger any innocent, and will uphold my duties to the fullest of my potential.

What military experience (if any) do you have: I am 19, a wanderer of sorts, I have chosen Salvus as my home. I have spent my hours, my days, training hard. I have developed keen control of both my mind and my body, though these abilities have yet to be used in the military. I have served no time, though I wish this to be my first.

Have you read and understood the military order and laws post? (Name one of the laws of high accord and the fines that can be imposed from it.): I have read, reread and studied them closely, storing them in my memory. One of the more clear crimes, is unlawful murder, which like the others, can be punished by a severe fine, banishment, and even death. Even stealing the crops is considered a crime of high accord, punishable by a high fine.

MC name: DoctorNuka

IC name: Scott Arendal

What weapon you are most comfortable with (and your stats for swords, axes, archery, wrestling and smithing): I prefer the Axe (Level 51)

How long have you lived in Salvus: I have yet to purchase a home in Salvus, I wish to save up my money and purchase a home once available. I've been visiting Salvus since the first day I've been on the server, And have taken shelter in it's inns.

Why do you wish to join the Peacekeepers: I adore and admire the great structure of Salvus and it's military. It looks as if it upholds a great government, And a great experience for roleplaying.

What military experience (if any) do you have: I was a soldier at Seventis, But I was unhappy of having to deal with paychecks and trying to get by for food. I was also somewhat happy of the town itself, And I never much had a chance to roleplay.

Have you read and understood the military order and laws post? (Name one of the laws of high accord and the fines that can be imposed from it.): "Harboring Criminals against Salvus" Fine of 2000-5000 Mina, Jail time of 3-7 MC Days , Execution, Banishment from Salvus, Seize of possessions located inside Salvus grounds.

I have a complaint pertaining to the Peacekeepers' roleplay.

Their driving force in controlling seems to be equipment strength and PvP ability - which, of course, is painfully insufficient roleplay, especially for a guard force and especially for an organization devoted to 'peace'. They constantly threaten to maim, to fire their bows, and to outright kill wrongdoers, even those twice their size. I find this despicable, suffocating and I believe the Peacekeepers should be told to perform proper roleplay combat.

I do have to agree, and even then I am not free of this charge, I have threatened wrong do'ers with death before now. but I only do it as a means of persuding them to come to jail with me.

The problem is, we can't just bake ourselves some good guards in the bakery.

Mostly people join a peacekeepers, because they want to play a hero of sorts. That's why you always get a good deal of inexperienced RPers, that tend to metagame or bully villains just to get some action. Normally they get released from the force after a few incidents. An additional problem is, that we can't hold the good RPers for long either, because they tend to evolve their character and seek new tasks, stepping away from the (-if played right-) rather boring daily life of a guard.

There has been so much rotation in the peacekeepers, that I honestly lost track who even is in charge right now.

I only know, when we hire new peacekeepers we get complains about them being rude and bad RPers. When we clean the ranks, we get complains about people getting robbed in the streets because there are never any guards online.

We can only work with what is given to us.

I can only advise you to gather proof, if they break either server rules or the rules of the peacekeepers and inform preferably Dawn or someone else of authority within the kingdom, so we can take consequent actions.

Thank you for your concern and your understanding

((You are now witnessing exactly what Felix Farnsworth, High Constable of Oren is exactly facing now.

What he did was he put each peacekeeper to a test, so he could weed out bad rpers before they even join the force.))

((Schwan is currently away for a few days but when he returns to take charge over the Peacekeepers, he will be handling any concerns such as this. Although I haven't been a Peacekeeper for a while now, my own response to the complaint is that many Peacekeepers were forced to deal with constant, PvP focused, bandit attacks in the past which as Kal Derra has already stated, meant we were recieving numerous complaints that the Peacekeepers weren't doing enough to stop them. The reality however, was that these bandits were largely attacking when most of the Peacekeepers were offline.

If you feel that they have become overly aggressive, this is largely due to their past experiences with bandits which makes the RP behind it, quite believable. It is up to the new High Constable, when he returns to deal with the Peacekeepers in character to ensure they aren't being overly aggressive and instead fulfilling their role as Peacekeepers. Also, please bare in mind that since Salvus is so close to spawn, there are a large number of new players passing through the area so it is always helpful to correct them if you disaprove of their roleplay.))

Must we repost ours with this new format?

((I believe that would be prefered by Schwan.))
