A Look Into Nalrek Frostbeard's Dream Pt.2

[Apareon 1]

((A small disclaimer here. You are NOT allowed to use this info IC it must stay OOC.))

*Nalrek opens his eyes to a large black expanse in all directions. The only light in the area seems to be coming from him.*

"Apareon? You there?" *Nalrek calls out.*

*No answer. Nalrek begins to look around He eventually sees a door to a room with light coming from it.*

"Where is he?" *Nalrek is beginning to look more and more worried.*

*Nalrek opens the door to see a room filled with orbs showing memories of himself. He walks up to one displaying his family together, laughing, in what looks to be a small living room. He reaches out to touch it but it is just out of reach. No matter how hard he tries he cannot reach it.*

*Nalrek sighs.*

"A family that laughs together stays together........I guess it's hardly true in my case. Time to stop dwelling on the past. I have to find Apareon."

*Nalrek walks out of the room never to see it again. Once out side he sees a figure standing in front of a grave.*

"Apareon?" *Nalrek calls out.*

*The figure turns his head a little. He then turns back to the grave.*

*Nalrek walks over beside the figure, and sees that the grave has the names Isabelle and Sara engraved on it. He looks up to see that the figure is Apareon.*

"Are you ok?" *Nalreks says looking concerned.*

"I'm fine. It's just that I never was useful while I was alive. My curse was completely useless and never worked."

*A single tear rolls down Apareon's face.*

"I've lost so much and what have I gained? Nothing.....I've lost friends, family, my life......Everything since day one has been taken from me."

"What about the curse? That has to be something good. I mean you can raise people from the dead and reverse spells."

"The curse made me a slave to it's will. I constantly had to keep my guard up and stay alert just so I could allow Olette to have a happy life.....My curse is my burden. It is the only thing keeping me here......" *Apareon's image seems to flicker just a little.*

"No it's not!"

*Apareon looks over startled to see, that Nalrek has a very determined look on his face.*

"You're here because you still have a will to live! Not because of some dumb curse!!! I can tell that you want nothing more then to be helpful and to live with your friends again."

"I..."

"You what? You've given up? hm? Well if you ever want to live again with your friends then you have..to..move..on!!!"

"but..."

"There are no buts! You may be sorry for other people's deaths, but you have forgotten how much suffering you've caused to others! Olette was heartbroken when she found out you were dead."

"I didn't cause that suffering. The curse took me. I had no choice!"

"Yes you did! You could have died in town allowing everyone to hear your last words from you! Instead you chose to be a coward and die on cliff where no one would find you!"

"I am not a coward!" *The room begins to shake and Apareon's image flickers again.*

*Nalrek cringes through the pain.* "Yes........you.......are....."

"Do you know what I've been through! I never had a family. Olette was my only friend and she forgot about me! It's like the world just wants me to suffer." *The room shakes again and cloaked figures now appear behind and beside Apareon.*

*Nalrek falls to one knee trying to stay conscious. The pain is becoming too much to bear.*

"Don't worry Apareon we feel your pain. After all we all had the same curse." *One of the cloaked figures says with a smile on his face. The other cloaked figures nod in agreement.*

"Who......are.....you...." *Nalrek says weakly.*

"Oh? I see that there is an insignificant insect here. Let us get rid of this bug for you. After all he is holding back your true power Apareon." *The figure's smile grows wider as the other cloaked figures move over to Nalrek and begin to lift him up.*

"Shall we begin the elimination process? After all this is going to be your new body." *The figure says turning to Apareon.*

"I.....wait!" *Apareon says.*

"Why? You could accomplish so much in this new body."

"No, I couldn't take someones body."

"And why not?" *The figure says looking a little disappointed.*

"Because it doesn't belong to me it belongs to Nalrek and he still has a life to live." *Apareon smiles.*

*Nalrek smiles back. The figures begin to drag him away again.*

"Wait!? What are you doing?"

"Simple. We're doing your job for you." *The figure smiles again and chuckles a little.*

*Apareon grabs the cloaked figure by the collar.* "Let him go. NOW!"

"And why should I?"

*Apareon's hands and eyes begin to glow green.* "Because if you don't, you wont exist anymore."

"Oh? You're serious?" *The figure smiles* "You amuse me Apareon. I can't wait till you join us one day." *The figure begins to chuckle.*

"What's so funny....."

"Gather your friends close. They may end up saving you." *The figure smiles again.* "Till we meet again."

*The figure flicks Apareon on the forehead and Apareon flies backwards.*

"Let the child go. We will settle this later."

*The cloaked figures drop Nalrek and disappear. Nalrek runs over to Apareon.*

"Apareon are you ok!?"

"Ya...."

"Who were they?"

"They were my ancestors who had the curse before I did."
