Hey Asulon,

Recently we’ve found ourselves running short on good lore masters and lore writers. As a result, I’m making this post today to announce that we are now looking to fill a few empty spots on our Lore Team. So you may be asking yourself first and foremostly, what do I get out of being a lore master? Well…

• Epic [Lore Master] tag in-game.
  
• Epic Lore Master rank on the forums.
  
• Respect of your fellow players.
  
• The ability to mold and shape Lord of the Craft’s story-line.
  
• Have your works read by the over 3,000 unique visitors lordofthecraft.net receives every day.
  
• $50/week salary after the first week. (first week = trial period)
  

So now that your mouth is watering at the very idea of such an amazing job, you may also be asking yourself, what do I need to be able to apply for just an amazingly powerful position? Well…

• Played on server for a MINIMUM of 6 months.
  
• Diamond Donator / Bedrock Donator OR Forum Moderator OR Game Moderator OR Application Team, exceptions may be made in rare cases.
  
• You must know the server’s lore like the back of your hand, you will be tested and quizzed on the material.
  
• Good writing skills; I’ll expand on this a bit more down bellow.
  
• Time to dedicate to your job, minimum of 1-2 hours online everyday, unless you tell us you’ll be absent ahead of time.
  

Now what I mean by good writing skills is you can write in the proper tone, let me give you an example of good and bad technicics:

BAD: The goblin attacked the old man.

GOOD: The green, ghoules creature lurked in the bushes for some time waiting for the perfect victim; when all of a sudden it spotted a fraile old man with a large satchel on his back crossing the road. This was as good a chance as any the creature thought, and with drool coming from its fangs, it unseathed its dagger and lunged at the old man.

It’s all about giving details and background story that people can relate to, not just stating facts.

What type of writing style is being looked for in this?

Simple Narration of events?

Historical document style?

First person viewpoint, with a heavy character basis?

Third person omniscient or limited?

Something else?

Or all of the above?

All of the above. You need to be a well seasoned writer, you can still apply even if you're a month or so short, it's just recommended requirements.

You're supposed to format it yourself.

AKA, Use Fonts, sub-headers and headers, colors, et cetera, to make it look-good/easy-to-read.
