Minecraft Account Name:

ThanonZi

How old are you?:

14, turning 15 in March

Time-Zone/Country of Residence:

East Coast of Canada, -5 GMT

Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?:

I like to think so, and have been complimented on my grasp of the English language by many of my elders.

Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself:

I like long walks on the beach, pina coladas & getting caught in the rain.

Jokes!

I am a young male living on the east coast of Canada, currently in grade 9 education. I am currently working on learning Python, HTML, Lua, GIMP, Blender, and making a sled in the basement. I read a lot of science fiction, fantasy, and am also reading a random book on “Square Foot Gardening” I found in the basement. I am enthusiastic, hard working, and am always attempting to crack a joke.

How much time could you be on the server weekly?:

The amount of time I spend playing any particular game fluctuates on what else is happening IRL.. The average I will play on LOTC around 10+ hours.

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you:

I know a bit about roleplaying, and have been playing RPGs for a few years now. I was introduced into RP when my Dad kept mentioning a Magic Bag of Holding as a joke. I had no clue what he was talking about, so he explained to me what good ol’ Dungeons and Dragons was, and how he had played weekend long marathons with his buddies in the barracks. He dug up a couple DnD books from the basement and we went out to buy some newer stuff. We decided that we wanted to play some DnD, so we headed out to a local nerd store and asked the manager if there were any groups looking for members. We found a group, but they were playing Pathfinder (kinda like DnD 3.5) but we joined in anyway. Our group played together for about a year before schedule changes prevented us from playing weekly.

I have wanted to get back into RP for a while now, so when my friend told me about Lord of the Craft, I thought I might as well put in an application. In summary, I think RPing is all about playing a character that someone would never have a chance to play in RL. Well that and using the time spent as an excuse to eat all the chips in the house.

What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?:

I covered this in the last section, but in summary I have played video game RPGs for around 5-7 years, and have played pen+paper RPGs for around 2 years.

In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is:

Meta-gaming is using outside of the game info or skills to cheat inside of the game.

An example would be if someone told me IRL that he was a bandit in LOTC, and then I encountered him in game and I immediately ran without signs of him actually trying to rob me or kill me or whatever else he wouldve done.

In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is:

To be honest, I have never heard of Power-Gaming before, but after reading the wiki article on it I think I can answer this question.

Power-gaming is when a player ignores the other players in the game and just tries to become as

powerful or rich as possible without actually RPing and having fun. Another example of a power-gamer is someone who exploits or abuses differants stats effects knowing full well that he will be OP and unRPable, but still doing it because he wants to be better then everyone else.

What do you expect this server will be like?:

I think the server will be a fun place where I can RP to my hearts content and build (with a charter!) to my hearts content as well. I think it will also be a place to meet cool people and experience a new facet of minecraft. Also, after checking some of the videos showcasing LOTC, I will expect the server to be an epic place with a tonne of amazing architecture.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:

I have played on servers before but only for a little. I simply quit because I still wasn’t finished recognizing the potential that single player offers. Now that I have done all I want to do in single player, I think it is a good time to move on to multiplayer.

Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?:

I have read the rules. I understand the rules. I agree to the rules. I love the rules. I will allow the rules to guide me and harness my full potential. I think the rules are a wonderful thing. All hail the rules. Eliminate all the adversaries of the rules.

MORE RULES FOR THE RULES GOD (a cookie for whoever understands this)

Do you promise to abide by said rules, and laws? This includes the Server, Forum, and Teamspeak set Rules:

I do so swear an oath that I will abide the aforementioned rules and laws, and their various spawn.

How did you hear about us?:

I heard about LOTC from a friend at school. He is currently also in the process of applying, but I have no clue what his username is.

Have you voted for the Lord of the Craft on Minestatus? Which vote number were you?:

I have voted for Lord of the Craft on Minestatus, but have not received a vote number (I probably missed it).

In-Character:

Character Name:

Fëanor Tinúviel

What Race are you?:

Fëanor is an Elf

What Sub-Race are you?:

Fëanor is an Elf of the Wild (a.k.a Wood Elf)

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

History

Fëanor grew up in a normal life, no treacherous raids, no terrible invasions, and certainly no long lost ancestors. All of Fëanor's childhood memories consist of the peaceful family home in the outskirts of Haelun'or, running through the long grass, and swinging from tree to tree.

Fëanor's childhood also contained the teachings of his Father, a expert hunter and master bowman, who was always bringing Fëanor out on his hunts. When a hunt was over Fëanor's Mother would show him the skills of alchemy, and the roots, plants, flowers, and herbs required to make the most potent potions and poisons.

It was Fëanor's 17th birthday, and Fëanor decided to go on a routine hunting trip. On this routine hunt Fëanor noticed a figure running through the woods. He called out to it in the common tongue, trying to distinguish if it was friend, foe, or his next meal. When he heard no reply, he let loose his arrows. The satisfying twang of an arrow being let loose from its string and the accomponying thunk as it hits its intended target graced Fëanor's ears. He ran forward, attempting to distinguish what animal he had hit. That is when Fëanor's life changed, it was his Father, his loving, caring, helpful Father. Father had been running from Haelun'or with a handful of stolen jewels when the arrow had hit him.

Fëanor was devistated, he couldn't tell his Mother that Dad was a lowly thief! He couldn't go to the authorities without his family name being discredited! Fëanor had to run, and he had to run fast. He bundled up the stolen jewels and ventured off, armed only with his bow and a the sharpest sword of all, knowledge.

Appearance

Fëanor is a young Elf. The pale white skin of his face is marked with cuts and bruises from his various hunts and adventures, and deep purple eyes display Fëanor as a possesor of a deep primal wisdom, an intelligence not often found in Elves of his age.

Standing 190 cm tall and wrapped in a dark green cloak, Fëanor certainly plays the part of a hunter. His long stride and purposeful gaze makes Fëanor seem like a man with a mission. That same long stride causes Fëanor's cloak to swirl behind him, revealing yet more scars and bruises along with the stain of squished berries on his arms and hands.

Weighing 64 kg Fëanor is light for his height, but barely an ounce of fat contributes to his weight, his body being made up almost exclusively of lean elven muscle. That lean elven muscle can propel Fëanor to impressive acrobatic feats, or push him trough long tiring runs.

Personality

Fëanor's gruff and abrupt attitude may protray him as a mean character, but in reality Fëanor is just trying to get whatever he needs done in as efficient a manner as possible. A smile is rarely on Fëanor's face as his personal daemons remind him of the single terrible act he has commited.

What is your Character's ambitions?:

One of Fëanor's ambitions is to become a man of wisdom and intellect, to surpass even his skilled Father in the knowledge and skill of survival in Aegis. Fëanor wishes to join the Asulon Outriders and learn of things from every corner and continent of Aegis, to be wise in every discipline.

He wishes to pass this wisdom onto his children, and them unto their children, and them unto their children. Fëanor wishes this to continue until the Tinúviels of Haelun'or are a family of seers, marksman, wizards, and not beggars or thieves, a family of power and wisdom!

What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc):

Fëanor's favorite tool is a powerful bow and a quiver full of straight arrows, seconded only by a sharp, calculating mind, piercing the haze of asininity.

What is one of your Character's most skilled talents?

One of Fëanor's most useful talent is his ability to survive in the wild and to make a prosperous and comfortable life when others wither up and die.
