*a piece of parchment is pinned to the Notice board in Haelun'or*

Brother and Sisters! I recently discovered something worthwhile mentioning: The mori steal our books!

I have been in their library, they have copies of multiple books that belong to our colege. This cannot go on like this, we need to act. I hope you realise what is happening, the mori are gathering books from everywhere around Asulon, soon their library will contain more knowledge than ours. They even stole blueprints of the wonderous machine that our respected Octavius Invented!

The council needs to react or the mori will steal even the artifacts out of our museum!

((yeah i feel for you. It's mostly 'because I can' and to show off about it afterwards. People do the same to us after they no-RP copy our entire library.))

((what is your rp reason for you copying our books? You can not even speak common! Some of them are written on elven as well... It is against rp for us to learn Mori speak by you can do whatever you want? Also. Is Izier a Mori? He seems quite fluent in common...))

(( Here is our rp reason: http://www.lordofthecraft.net/forum/index.php?/topic/45943-ltekartas-whol-research-luarthalos/

And as for knowing common; around half of the Mori can speak it now. We all learned common either from our slaves or from surface dwellers stupid enough to teach us over the pass 20 IC years. You all can't learn Mori because simple because of the fact that their are no Mori dump enough to teach an unproven outsider our Sacred Tongue. ))

((Exactly WHEN did someone write up the Elven language? Because I have looked around the forums for about a week, never found it. Only found something that might possibly be it, but it says only a few know of it, sooo... yeah.))

((May I ask everyone to pretty please stop the OOC discussion to prevent sparking an argument.

Yes, some/all books were copied. This will lead to a far more hostile attitude from the High Elves towards the Mori and may be grounds for raids and war claims in the future.

OOCly, there is nothing wrong with what the Mori did. Yes, I ask people not to left-click bookcases for an instant copy as it, in my opinion, ruins the idea of localized knowledge, the reason to travel to distant libraries and making cliff notes and actual 'stealing' of intelligence/knowledge. However, the devs don't agree as they haven't altered the setting. Therefore, I shouldn't hold it against any of them.

Also, if you can't find the documentation of Elven language you haven't looked well enough. Try my signature, for one thing.))

*looks at the Dark Elf and precedes to chase him out of town.*

"Damn Mori and their Mali'Ker slaves, always coming in our blessed city and causing trouble!"

*places a reply on the board*

We should take the books back. Reclaim them from these scum!
