The Death Of Valarus

[ Warning: Seriously, do NOT read this if you are easily nauseated, squeamish, or easily traumatized. This goes into excruciating detail as to the appearance of Valarus's corpse, and is likely to be too much for some. To summarize it though, you come across Valarus's corpse near Haelun'or, and it is badly damaged.]

Coming across the small and broken bridge in between Haelun'or and Elandriel, you notice a rank smell. As you approach the bridge, the smell intensifies into one of pure foulness. One can not describe the horrific stench with words, but it turns the gut and warps the mind to smell it. You cover your nose with your hand, and you begin to look about for the source. Suddenly, your eyes widen as you see a high elven corpse laying in the nearby grass.

The organs are splayed out around him, and the intestines still hang from a hole in the stomach of the body. Congealed blood and fetid stomach contents line the hole, and maggots multiply inside of it. The eyes are missing, most likely due to local insects, and an ear seems to have been sliced off as well. The skin is a white unlike what you've ever seen in terms of skin, and the expression on the face is one of nauseating, yet excruciating pain.

Blood is smeared about the mouth area, a pool resting inside of the mouth and throat. The body has been nibbled away at as well, most likely by some stray pack animals such as wolves. The face, though hideous in this state, is noticeable, and you find that you recognize the body as that of Valarus's. All of his possessions are gone, and nothing but his clothes remain.

((I've decided that I've grown bored of Valarus as of late, and would simply like to kill him off, thanks to some assistance from our friend neighborhood murderer, Urasept, of course. I thank you all for the wonderful role-play experiences, and look foward to RPing with you all in the future. Until then my brothers and sisters! Van'ayla!))

*Lona walks back from Normandor and sees the corpse by the bridge. She tries not to smell it and goes to get a better view of the corpse. When she realizes that it is Valarus she falls to her knees, looking into the sky. She sheds a tear, while she tries to gather her thoughts. She sits down by Valarus dead body with a warm coat over her shoulders. She drops her head and closes her eyes. Many thoughts and questions comes to her mind;*

"Valarus... no... why... who... how..."

Sitting in his own Legate's office, behind the stone desk, Nelecar idly sorts through numerous documents on the individuals of Malinor's government. A knock disturbs him, and he flicks the lever which opens the iron blast doors.

"What is it Malavai? What do you want?"

"Greetings, my Okarir'sil," the brown-haired elf said, ever dutiful. He was likely masking his true intentions - Nelecar knew that Malavai wasn't to be trusted after that incident, but then again Nelecar suspected a lot of things, most of which weren't true.

"Aliris is dead," he continued. "I saw the body for myself. Gutted. It wasn't the nicest sight but then again I have seen much worse."

The Okarir'sil went pale for a moment and began to grind his teeth. "The mori'quessir. It was them, wasn't it? It had to be, he was in their custody. Was there a weapon nearby? Any other evidence? Tell me!" He slammed his fist on the desk.

Malavai sighed. "Nothing. I don't think the mori would have had him killed, you see. He was far more useful to them as a slave. More than Eowyn, anyway, and they didn't kill her."

"Lona. Does she know? I had to give her that poem from him...just...tell her if she's not already aware. It's a job that I'm not willing to do. Aliris was bloody thorn in my side but he was a pure mali'aheral. Just leave me. I have much deliberation to do..." Nelecar sighed.

Malavai nodded, bowing. "Yes, laurir. I'll do it as soon as possible."

Kerhal sighs as he sees the scene. Slightly annoyed at the fact they lost 2 slaves because of Valarus, and also because he was starting to like this one. "He was of use... Wonder who did it..." He shrugs, and walks off, Blank books stacked up in a sack on his back.

"Who would do something like that?!"

*Kneels at the side of the body and starts cleaning it, while covering her nose with her hood. When she is finished she hurries back to the city to get a chest for the body*

*Silith was walking towards Haelun'or when a somewhat familiar smell reached him, that of death. Intrigued he looked around for the source of the scent. He climbs a tree to get a better view of the area. He sees a High Elven girl kneeling beside something and another hurrying away. He curses under his breath as he realizes he missed a prime opportunity to catch the intrusive High Elf. He then glances at the body with Lona kneeling beside it. He smiles at the gruesome scene before him and says.*

"Ha! Uss d'l''pure'ussen elghinyrr lu'wun natha mzilst ssin'urn hybril. Usstan z'klaen ragar l'uss vel'uss xunus nindol lu'falduna mina whol nind bronretla wynthe"

*Climbs nimbly to a closer tree and conceals himself in the lush boughs which are covered in leaves to watch what happens to the body and see if he can get a chance at punishing the Elvish trespasser*
