Halflings of the Vale,

We have done a poor deed to the fruitful land that we live in. Not only have we caused the destruction of ecosystem, but we have also created an aesthetically displeasing mess, an equally serious matter. I refer to our fields; we have far too much farmland, and it is quite ugly. The field is a big brown square. Seeds are only planted in half of it. It is on the other side of a large forest. It is so, so, so flat and boring. I don't like it one bit.

We shall not replant in this location. After this harvest is taken in, we shall store the seeds and restore this jumble of farmland to the grassy forest that it should be. We shall then make smaller, more manageable, and prettier farms closer to town. So, whenever you harvest wheat, store the seeds, replant some grass, add a bit of non-flat terrain, and plant bushes and trees. Nature shall be better off, and I predict that we shall actually generate healthier, more bountiful wheat in the long run.
