I've already started work on lore along a similar line to Mogroka's but with a few surprises in store :)

Mogroka was mad because it had powergaming I suggest changing the transformation lore alot and making it from scratch = much higher chance of keeping it ;)

This ruins my past 6 long hours of work and I rp'd that my char had deathly illness for the past few days just so I could do this ... this angers me beyond what I can put in words now I have to kill off my char and I still wont even be able to join the kharajyr until who knows when ... I need something ... I need to know when we will actually be able to become a kharajyr because now I have to kill off my char or ruin a weeks worth of detailed role play..

It just upsets me that they would change the lore this late in the game :/

But It happened .... Hopefully I get to see some new lore tomorrow and I'm expressing my opinion I think I have all the right to be upset ...

However I do enjoy this race very much hopefully we can get some things straightened out .. as for me until this whole thing is fixed im going to stay off lotc because I really need to backtrack my char...

Again, as i said on someones profile.

Yes, it is a heart-tearing, tear-shedding, punching-in-the-face feeling.

But if you truly are a fan of the Kharajyr and want different roleplay, and want a chance at being something very unique, THEN WHO CARES!

Yes, some of you lost your lore. That is sad. And your lore for your way to becoming a Kharajyr may have been ruined. But HEY! At least there is still a race. So there is nothing to fret about.

And the one thing that will pretty much mean anything is this:

No one is forcing you to play the race!

It is all up to you. If you wish to become the same character go ahead. If you want to become a Kharajyr then you can wait.

And I do understand how you feel, I myself could not wait for this to happen. But at least we will still have a race.

Hope this helped in my point of view of things. Again, just my opinion.

Checked with Native. There is no cost to becoming Kharajyr. I think there is a stat reset - not sure if its confirmed or optional but its available.

EDIT: Borg, unless you can shed some light on the compromise then I'm gonna continue with the lore I've made after this youtube video.

Lament not, this shall only strengthen our resolve. After all these setbacks those Kharajyr that make it to the other side will be the ones we need in our nation to make it incredible

My idea:

We just need to revise the old lore and submit it, say make the transformation MUCH more difficult/time consuming

Such as

* Preist one holds steady assisting the great goddess in making this one pure

* Drains most of his energy from this process by helping the soul purify ( Just an idea )

And thank you Kat Overlord. This will be coming in handy. And perhaps make a list with the people that are in the town now? So they can be the first people without an app. That would make things seem a bit populated as well. Just an idea. Or have us do apps when its released.
