Ooc - Developments

There have been several developments regarding the Kharajyr with regards to our lore. These have come from the top, Sultan Mogroka and Shiftnative have both expressed their concerns regarding the transformation of Kharajyr and this concept is now being scrapped. My personal feelings aside I entirely agree where they are coming from and the new lore is closer to that which was originally composed for the Kharajyr. I am updating the main post as we speak to include the new lore.

This new lore will mean several things however that you should all be aware of. Everyone will now be required to start a new character as a Kharajyr. The race is now being implemented as a race that has existed within Asulon for at least several hundred years now. This will also mean that the rp migration will no longer be occurring as rply we will already all be on the island.

Please don't harass either Mogroka or Shiftnative about this, I completely respect their decision and to be honest prefer the lore, I just wish it could have come at a more opportune time. We will be proceeding with our implementation as soon as possible however, once our island is ready - something that the team appears to be dealing with relatively swiftly.

Seriously, I wrote about my vision in huge detail, and now they're changing it so that I can't keep my character's fuzzy memories. I was writing journals out for ages. :I I am not a happy dark elf.

Its not gone, its just being revamped. No I'm not amazingly happy with it and believe me, we've all invested a lot of time and effort that's now been wasted but Native and the GM's opinions are final and I don't have the energy to push against them this late. I didn't want to push the matter further as we should be thankful the race is being implemented at all and they could just as easily turn around and go "nope" if I push too hard. I know you guys are disappointed and so am I, its an annoying set back but I don't blame them for the decision.

If Native or Mogroka were to explain in full the reasoning behind it that may be useful as if I'm honest I'm not sure I'm 100% sure, at least not sure enough to give a valid explanation. For sure...

There was 7 people at the boat when someone informed me of this. With in seconds people rushed to look at what this person was talking about. We all were a bit annoyed and frustrated about the amount of work and effort we have put in, but I feel the most sorry for Xerdun. He worked sleepless nights to create this lore and I think we should be sympathetic.
