The Seventis Military

I approve of Connollys's application. He is a good roleplayer and would be a valued member in the fight.

Now to subject. I would like to purpose a change to the system. I purpose splitting the military into groups or companies. Each company would range from 5-20 players with a commanding officer, co-officer. Every city or village occupied by Seventis would require atleast one company stationed there up to three companies in times of peace. to keep track of the companies the officers would be required to list their current member count, any needed supplies (say food or armor), and current city stationed. This would make it easier to find your soldiers in times of war instead of flocking out messengers to every village and city hoping to gather some ill commanded Frouros.

I was thinking that Companions should have higher control of the military.

If I understood right, the Companions are the "Royal Guards" so you are commanded by Renati and me (but more Renati). What you could do is start giving orders to the Soldiers if I'm not there by example. Anyways, that's my opinion.

Short Biography: Stvanos was born on the island of Zakinthos, between the lands of Oren and Asulon. The boy was raised in the small village of Stella, in which he was taught the basic skills any islander would know. Farming, herding, and even some basic military principles(as every able-bodied man was to learn, being on a barely defensible island.) were taught to Stvanos, but his village, as well as the island, was now becoming under threat. Stvanos, only about 17 years of age at the time, was soon forced a blade in his hand and a helmet on his head. The island had come under siege by the undead, who's demonic forces had somehow reached the once peaceful island. Stella, along with the other villages in Zakinthos, had taken refuge in the only port on the island, Kretonis. After only a few days, the people of Zakinthos had come to a decision... leave their island they all loved so much, and sail for distant shores. Stvanos was placed in one of the larger boats heading for Asulon, and soon came ashore on the western coast, with nothing more than a rucksack of provisions and his militia sword granted to him during the siege. Now Stvanos felt isolated, lonely, and without purpose. His dark olive skin and foreign clothing only made him more alienated from the people of Asulon. And so, upon hearing word of this new kingdom, Seventis, and their culture seemingly similar to his own, made the now 22 year old overjoyed at the aspect of finding an alike population, and what better way to assimilate himself into Seventis than joining the military?

Why do you wish to join the Seventis Military? I would like to join the Seventis Military because of a few reasons, mostly being the historical and personal connection the structure of the military has(Being Greek myself, I found the ranks and terms amazing.) as well as the apparent chain of command, to which I would love to see worked out correctly.

Which starting rank do you wish to become? (Frouros, Peltast, Toxotes) Peltast, due to my low but growing combat skills. I would be most useful as a scout or messenger, but I can easily transition to a Frouros upon request.

Will you be loyal and respect those higher in command then yourself? Of course. Without a loyal and respectful force, one cannot really call it a military in the first place.

Your Weapon skills? (i.e. Axes-75 or Swords-34) Swords-8, Archery-7. Lacking greatly, I know, but I had made the decision to place most of my skills in Blacksmithing, bringing it up to about 40.

((Yes, that is correct, but I made it Oren so that the island was more specifically in that region of Aegis, to show that the island's culture is human at heart, and very much like a Greek island in the Aegean.))
