A Murder In The Streets

Observes Tym's eloquence and tuts, and turns to Vance.

These people can't all be wrong. An entire nation of people have begun to stand, because of the actions (or lack thereof) of Desolace. But you threaten and force others from speaking their disdain? And your constable friend speaks of hypocrisy. Twisted words from a twisted tongue will not save this nation. Her Majesty taking some responsibility just might though. Whatever that may be.

He inclines his head at Vance, leaning upon his staff, and turns his head towards the Constable Leywin. His expression seems to convey a clear message even without him speaking... "Your move."

*Vance turns his head once again towards the Druid and gives him a sharp expression.*

"And what does a Druid know of Solace's affairs? If I am not mistaken, the Queen offered the Druid's sanctuary and yet you now turn on her by making false claims of what you know little about. Look at these so called revolutionaries... They base their accusations off of ridiculous notions, brought about by rumours of the Queen's age... Like the Elf has just pointed out, there is every possibility that the Queen may possess Elven blood, for all we know. I ask, what other basis do these assertions have?

Your claims that this is an entire nation, rising up is simply false. Many of those who remain loyal to the Queen are those who have resided here since the beginning. As for those who wish to cause trouble, they are not citizens, nor do they hold any understanding of what this nation has faced. If they do not respect the nation they have come to find themselves in, I ask that they leave... There is a reason why the human kingdom is now made up of three separate nations, after all.

I restate what I said before, if any harm is to come to the Queen, I will be among the first to act, even if it means spilling the blood of those who oppose her."

Standing in the shadows, covered in leather armour, Josef listens. He is not sure why he came back, why anyone would return here. Some strange pull made him limp back to this place. Some of what is being said is rather shocking. He has never held anything against Dawn Perea. During the Phoenix Revolution he was first to demand she not be harmed when the suggestion was raised that anyone who resisted them be killed. On the boat ride to Asulon they had reached an agreement not to fire on each other. Then, only a few years ago he had made the trip to Solace, had met with the Queen to discuss diplomacy. No... he had nothing against her. Hearing the people call for her blood makes him flinch and recoil. If it came down to it, he thinks, what would I do? It is a question that plagues him greatly. He had already considered the possibility of the Queen having Elven blood as an explanation for her old age. Still, he thinks, I did hear that she was once slashed in the throat and not only survived but was able to talk again within the day. He ponders that for a moment, trying to remember who told him in the first place. Axl... yes, I think it was. Well... this might very well be an exaggeration then... He continues to stand, concealed, watching and listening.

A hooded man walks into the crowd and begins to join in.

I heard she said the Orcs were weak, green-skinned morons incapable of defending themselves against Salvus' might!

Chuckles and walks off.

*Gromgok perks his ears as he hears the man speak, only paying attention to the part where his kin is being insulted as he immediatly clenches his fist in anger, he opens his gaping mouth to speak.*

{Translated to common so that it's easier for you to understand.}

Who is the fool to speak like this about my kin, not only did you insult me, but Krug himself! Everyone that defies the word of our Old Father shall be dealt with swiftly, I shall scalp you and hang it on my belt as a trophy for others too see and fear.

You speak of ignorance, when we have been watching, always watching, since we arrived here. Your peacekeepers run about like bumbling idiots and crime fills the streets daily, and yet what could we possibly know, since we don't live in Desolace. Pah! Don't make me laugh. Also, keep your assumptions to yourself. As I have spoken before, we watch. I do not have a hand in this uprising. But my unbiased stance obligates me to inform you that your arguments are idiotic. You refuse to address these people's complaints, instead defending the Queen, weakly, and blaming everybody standing.

If you have nothing truly helpful to offer, you needn't come here and show your ass like the dog you are. Begone, run back to your queen, this proclaimed "human" who somehow has retained power for hundreds of years.

*Vance chuckles loudly as he listens to the Druid's words.*

"You may not be a part of this uprising yourself but you are certainly fuelling it. You seem to have little concern for the lives of those around you, simply giving into these absurd claims that Dawn is some sort of magical being, capable of extending her own life... How ridiculous. You sit in your damn tree, priding yourself on being "unbiased" when your actions only lead to more problems for an already troubled nation... I'm surprised Dawn is yet to drive your Druidic filth from these lands for I'd have certainly done it already if I were in her position.

If these people have complaints... please... feel free to let them speak their minds... If however, they intend to gain power by overthrowing a Queen who has served this nation from the beginning, I have no intention of being peaceful and will show no mercy if any harm is to come to her. That includes yourself Druid, if your kind does not stay neutral in this affair, you too will fall, alongside these so called "revolutionaries."

*overhears the orc roaring outside and he begins to make his way to the crowd from within the barracks. Tym would see the orc in his rage and distress and approach him, soon realizing the orcs face as gromgok's, tym smiles and begins to speak to the orc*

Ug Gromgok, I overheard your roars from within the barracks walls, and I must say.. you have a talent for making yourself heard *he would chuckle afterwards* I couldn't make out exactly what you said, but it did not sound like you were happy.. if you will.. tell me what is troubling you.."

*Gromgok tilts his head slightly as Tym approaches him, he lets out a bellowing roar that slowly turns into a howling laugh as he notices him.*

{Translated to common so that it's easier for you to understand.}

Hail Elf, there seems to be someone within your walls who speaks bad about my kind, his insolence shall be punished by death, let you or your men seek him out, or I shall do so myself, if you find him bring him to me, I wish to crush his skull with my mighty warhammer.

Lorethos sighs and crosses arms, in one hand a silver glimmering stave encrusted with onyx shines in the sun's radiant gaze. He speaks, his tired emerald eyes with some sense of hazy blue wisdom, or perhaps idealistic optimism still haunts the aging man from its origin in his youth.

"I appreciate your words, Druid. While I understand you do not support me or my men, I am glad you can reveal their refusal to see reason. Especially this one." He nods to Vance. "His every word is only deception, to appear to have a real and fair opinion. The truth of the matter is that him and his companions would like Dawn in power due to her inability to regulate them and unwillingness to even try and suspend their crimes from her people's homes."

He shakes his head and turns, leaving, gathering up what flyers he can as the rest blow off into the wind. He speaks to Vance as he walks on.

"Do not feign interest, sir. You are as transparent as a soft wind on my cheek."

*Tym would nod and begin speaking to Gromgok*

"I have heard such talk from many of these men before you. Many you see before you are dishonorable. Thieves, murderers, liars, and deceivers. Particularly the one who shouts his incantations that bring the fools together. *points to lorethos* He spreads the false words that not only dishonor your people's creed, but doubt your might and resolve in combat."

*leans closer to Gromgok and speaks only to him*

"This one even commands orcs like tools... I have seen him lead them and order them around.. whitewash among your people, not by their choice but his indoctrination of lies. This one and his people have no honor and speak ill of you and your brothers. You have shown me a testament to an orc's capabilities. I know all of what he speak must be a great offence and insult to your people and culture.. I want them dealt with just as much as you do.."

*speaks softly*

"I will help you gromgok... the leader and his rebels will learn to respect you and your brothers..."

*steps back and looks gromgok in the eyes, his deep purple eyes distilling the silent rage between them. Tym takes his hand balling it up into a fist and punds it against his diamond chest-plate, the sound making a metallic clash, Tym waits a moment for Gromgok's reply*

A disgruntled Uruk stands next to the Gazebo, shouting out towards those who would lend ear.

'She has made a bargain with the evil forces of the world! In exchange for the lives brought down in these storms she summons, her inner home is not touched with Lightning nor flame, while her citizens burn inside of her own city, she sits in her kitchen counting the wealth of the taxes and eating the food of the workers, her hairs do not grow grey, and her eyes do not begin to fade. How is it that she has been spared by the forces of the Undead during their many raids upon the city of Al'khazar and Winterfell? It is because she was a worshiper of Iblees, she gives the souls of her people in exchange for her 'immortal' life! You wonder why the 'Peacekeepers' are so quick to use their blades, and it is to keep their Queen youthful. She should be burned, and the city razed! We cannot use the work of a Witch's hands, and should reform the city on the ashes of the evil!'

*"We are not yet done. A setback, but not done. I go now, to continue Lorethos' legacy. They shall pay fer this. With blood, or maybe even with glory." he mutters to himself, after writing his dilemma in a book.*
