Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

It all started one day near an Elven village. The village was in an uproar over what was just found. An elven female by the name of Irisha returned to their village with what seemed like a human boy, it was me. A cat followed my every move as I walked through the village. I stared blankly at the village for this was my first memory. I had no recollection of what happened before then, the only thing I knew was that I am now in a village with Elven people and I do not know what my name, or even where this cat came from that seemed to love me so much. I had very bad social skills at the time and could barely communicate at all. Irisha took me through the town and as I looked around I was followed by the curious stares of the other villagers. I was then taken into her home and that marked the start of the adventures to come.

1 Elven(4 Human)years later Looking in the mirror I was adjusting my dirty blonde hair. Checking for any signs of tiredness in my blue eyes I then walked over to put back on my red shirt. I love the color red and have for a very long time. I then walked over to my cat that I had named Renegard. At this time I was commonly called Cat due to the fact that, 2 Human Years earlier, I had gone around telling people to call me Cat as a joke because my cat had a proper name while I would simply go by Cat. It stuck and, even though it was supposed to be a joke, I never protested. Renegard stared at me intently as I put on my red bandanna that I put a white circle on just to make it not plain red. I also made a small miniature one for Renegard who wore it on his tiny head.

I walked through the door into the foyer Irisha then yelled to me, "Hay, you almost forgot your fishing rod!" She then proceeded to hand me it. I said thank you and left the house. In the year that has gone by this village turned into a nice bustling town. I was part of the hunting team to go out that morning. It was a great day. Renegard followed me everywhere, Including on hunts. That day we got a few wild chickens. Renegard also caught a fish, although during the process scared away a wild pig. On the way home while attempting to do a trick one of the other Elves pulled I fell out of a tree. I landed hard and went out like a light.

When I came too I was lying in the towns small medical center. Renegard was sitting right next to me and meowed when he noticed I woke up. I didn't have any major injuries and was able to walk. Noticing a slight pain though, I decided to not join in the hunts for the next moon. So I sat by the river nearby fishing the day away. Renegard seemed somewhat bored for that time but I encouraged Renegard to try fishing with me.

When I felt better I decided to practice tree climbing. I noticed that the way that I usually did it, which was the Elven way, didn't seem to have the same effectiveness for me. I decided that it wasn't to big of a deal until I tried crossing tree to tree. I noticed that my movements weren't as fine as I ever thought they were. I decided that I would need to do things a little differently since I wasn't an elf. I found some reeds nearby and fashioned some paper from it. I then went and took some of the many ink sacs I have found, during the days I spent fishing, and started to write down different techniques. My cat tried it with me and we practiced together. By the time I was called to hunt again I was very acute at finding anything that could help me with the tasks of mobility that the Elves seemed so easily to master.

1 Elven Year (4 Human) Later I had my own house, and was actively trading in the fish market. Renegard was sitting on the table behind me as I prepared some fish for a few elves that wanted it. After the exchange I went to my storage room to find my window broken and my chest empty. I ran over to the window to investigate and noticed that nobody else had noticed a robbery other than me. I then thought of how to catch the theif if he or she were to come back.

2 Human Years Later I had just left my home when I noticed a small shadow on a tree behind my house. I took a rock and threw it at the shadow. It hit with a square *thud* and the shadow screeched and fell over. Renegard ran over to it and when I followed I discovered it was an orc. Before I had a chance to ask it what it was doing here it took out a horn a blew on it. I then looked past the trees and noticed many lights and heard more sounds from orcish tongue. I noticed that they all were carrying axes and seemed intent on attacking. Diplomacy was no longer an option so I turned and ran with Renegard close behind me. I ran into the town screaming to everyone that Orcs were attacking. I ran straight into my house, and got my sword, bow and some arrows out. I then went over and took my picked up my book that I had written long ago to help me remember what to look for when needing to be as agile as an elf.

When I ran back outside I noticed that the town was already in panic. This was a peaceful town so we weren't ready for a war. I ran straight for the hunting shop and told everyone that they needed to help defend the town. Only some of them were brave enough to help. I sent them to help find more recruits then to meet me at the center of town.

When we met back up we had a total of 25 elves ready to help fight for their town. I quickly told them the plan that I came up with. We were to hide in the trees around the center and wait for the orcs to fall right into the ambush. The odds didn't look good since there was only 26 of us and at least 75 orcs. All we could do now though is wait.

When the orcs came they arrived to the center of the town and looked down curiously at a cat that was standing there trying to catch a fish that was stubbornly clinging onto life flopping around on the ground. When the cat finally caught the fish it then ran into a bush. An orc followed being lured by curiosity and as soon as the orc touched the bush and elf seemed to leap out at it and in an instant the orc was dead. The other orcs noticed and ran after the elf in a blind fury. Then as if by magic arrows seemed to be magically appearing out of trees and it rained hard. 15 orcs dead from the rain were on the ground. The elf then went over and finished off one that was still alive. Some more orcs were close by and what they thought was an elf at first, was really a human in red. The orcs blinked and the human was gone. There was no trace, except for the bodies of the dead, of any archers or warriors in site.

The cat, having finished its fish, decided to jump outside of the bush. Some of the orcs noticed and immediately started chancing it. The cat whipped around a bend on the side of a building then all that was heard were the shrieks of the orcs. When some of the others went to investigate nothing was on the side of the building. One of the orcs looked up and noticed a small gleam in the sky. It realized That arrows were falling from the sky. All the orcs immediately took cover and none of the arrows landed a single hit. Some orcs panicked and then started throwing their axes at the trees. A few elves were hit and fell out of the trees. Then another rain of arrows struck down on the orcs killing a group of 15. The orcs then started to flee. We have won but half the town was in ruins.

I jumped down from my perch atop a building and went to look for Renegard. I couldn't find him anywhere. He was gone, just like that. I decided that now was not the time to think about such thoughts and went to check on the elves that got hit. They were on the ground dead.

I looked over at the elves and noticed that one of them was Irisha. That broke me. I openly wept at that moment and looked at Irisha for any signs of life but she was dead. There was no way that she was coming back.

The next day the town Mayor visited me at what was left of my house and immediately chained me and brought me to the middle of the town. This was a situation that I predicted from the start. There had to be someone to blame for the damage to the town and the death of the elves. I was a perfect candidate because I was in charge of the "defense force" that fought them off. I was exiled from the town and I never even protested. As I was leaving I said one final thing to the Elves that were watching me leave, "I will only return as a Hero and will stop at nothing to clear my name." At that the guards took the chains off and I walked away.

I walked aimlessly in the woods and sat down to camp for the day. I noticed a flicker of a cat's tail on the edge of the grass and ran towards it. I pushed through the leaves and grass to find Renegard's little red bandanna in a clearing. I went over to pick it up and then heard the rustling in another direction. I realized that there may still be a chance at finding Renegard and I ran towards the rustling.

2 Human years have passed since then and I have been wandering around hoping to find Renegard and prove myself to a town that has exiled me. That brings us to the present time where I, Renegard, known mostly as Cat, continue my search for a cat that has been with me since before I can remember trying to prove that I have what it takes to become a legend.

What is your Character's ambitions?:Too find his cat and prove that he is worthy of being put back into the town he was exiled from. In other words become a legend.

What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc):Bow as a primary, Sword as a secondary. I would prefer a fishing rod to a compass or map in gathering aspects.

What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? Tactical. He was a Human raised by elves, He lacked the agility of the Elven people so he needed to find ways around doing tasks that the Elves could do, but Humans would be hard pressed to do.

A screenshot of your skin (must be in proper format):

LordoftheCraftPic.png

Other Information about your Character: He prefers to wear things that aren't as restrictive and wears red mostly. By this time he is about 24 human years old but no one really knows his true age.

Open-Response-Questions

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?

He surveys the situation, waiting to see if his suspicions are true that they are, indeed, trying to steal from the halfling. If confirmed he would sneak tactically (assuming he is alone) and shoot his bow from the darkness. Trying his best to stay stealthy, but then rush when spotted with his sword held high. If they weren't really trying to steal the gold then I would observe the halfling to figure out what it did that riled the warriors up.

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response?

He would respond, "Do you have some arrows I can buy. I seem to be running out and would like to stock on supplies while I'm here."

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?:

He would check for any signs of it still being in use. If it seems that it is not I would take only a few of the iron bars, in case it was still in use to avoid making a possibly enemy. If it was still in use I would try and help out by sneaking things into the chest instead of stealing.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond?

He would say, "Hello, I seem to have come across here while being terribly lost in the woods. Would you please show me to the nearest food store?"

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?:

He would try to help out the guards by watching the roads stealthily and reporting possible bandit activity. If I were to be seen watching them I would immediately run away unless I had support.

I am very sorry, but your application has been moved to the denied section of the forums. There are numerous reasons for this, all of which I have included in my feedback below this message. In the mean time there is an abundant source of information, stories, guides and other helpful tips to get you on your way to being accepted; all you need to do is look around. I would suggest the lord of the craft wiki and application submissions section of the forums to start off your little quest to make the best application. Good luck!

The reasons that I have denied you are:

Your definition of roleplay needs some improvement.

Role Playing means to completely stay in character and to stay true to the lore of the time. Be in character and stay lore friendly if you want it in short.

This is only a half-definition. Take for example if you were defining what "Work" is, it would be the equivilant of:

"Work means to work hard and to follow the correct rules of the workplace. Its to do your job correctly and follow the rules." While that may be a part of what "Work" is, it is not the full picture.

Much the same with your current definition, while it may be what roleplaying involves it is not the entire definition.

You did not give valid examples of RP, or you did not describe how your examples are RP.

You need to describe to us how the games or locations you have talked about pertain to an RP environment.

Your definition of meta-gaming is incorrect.

There are very few definitions of meta-gaming so it would be rare that you could confuse meta-gaming with another term. I would suggest that you go back to researching (or perhaps begin to research if you guessed the definition) and find out a correct definition pertaining to Roleplaying. I suggest that you do a Google search for the term, look on the Lord of the Craft wiki or join our Team Speak channel. Please do remember that plagiarising (copying someone else’s work) may warrant you a temporary or permanent ban from applying to the server: so don’t do it! I would also like you to include an example of the term as it demonstrates your understanding of the concept.

Your definition of powergaming is lacking an example.

I would like you to include an example of the term as it demonstrates your understanding of the concept.

You need to have a character last name.

Unless you have a specific reason for why you do not have a last name of your character, you need to write a last name to show that you have put some in-depth thought processes into developing and creating your character.

Your biography has a lot of errors.

You portrayed orcs extremely unrealisticly and lore breaking in your biography. If you are going to include another race as prominently as you did then please first do your research. You can find all about them here: http://www.lordofthecraft.net/forum/index.php?/topic/24133-orc-important-threads/

Your biography contains powergaming. In the context of your biography this can be anything from encountering an enemy and just beating it without explaining how, or just defeating it unrealistically.

You have not included any (or much) lore from the world of Asulon or the lore you did include contradicts that of Asulon. I recommend that you do a lot of research as to what you race is and how they act, as well as towns and places that you could use in your biography. I would also like to note that the entire server escaped from Aegis about 25 in game years ago to move to Asulon, I suggest you do some research on this point. Do note this is not Skyrim or Lord of the Rings, we have our own universe with our own races. For ideas and lore you can look on the Lord of the Craft wiki (link on the main page), the Role-play or History sections of the forums or better yet; talk to the people themselves. Just join in our Team Speak channel and ask around! We welcome new people :)

You need to complete the entire biography, detailing all your characters history, age, personality and description. We also like to see little role-play quirks such as habits like the constant brushing back of a fringe, or the scratching of an itchy palm.

Every single thing in your application must have a justification. For example:

John’s father taught him swordsman ship and the lay of the land. X BAD

John’s father was a retired swordsman in the Oren military, after the undead attacks and the moving to Asulon he decided it was time that he lay down the sword for more important matters, family. Now days John’s father teaches John the way of the sword, not so that he can join any particular military, but so that he can defend himself for future experiences to come. √GOOD

Some or all of your answers to the Open Response questions need a lot of improvement.

Instead of describing what your character would do, you need to assume that your character is in the situation and acting as they would in that situation. You need to describe a scene of RP. This means that you cannot write “If this happens, then my character would do that.” As this shows that you are not Roleplaying, you are answering the question from what you think that your character might do. You need to show us that you know who your character is, you know what the situation is and you know how your character is going to react.

This also means that you need to write in full RP. For example:

Josh talks to the shopkeeper, buys a few apples, pays the shop keeper and leaves. X BAD

Josh walks up to the man standing behind the rough oaken market stand. The sounds of a busy market can be heard all around him. An annoying fly buzzes around his head, so he absent-mindedly begins to inefficiently swat it away. “Ah, greetings shopkeeper! I was just browsing your wares.” The shopkeeper nods at Josh and then turns towards another customer to attempt to assist them the way all market shopkeepers must. Suddenly Josh felt a slight tugging sensation on his belt. He was about to brush it off as nothing, perhaps just someone bumping into him until he realised his belt was slightly lighter. He noticed a man beginning to run off in the opposite direction of himself. He glanced down to see that his coin purse was missing. He put two and two together and then shouted at the top of his lungs. “STOP THEIF!”… √ GOOD!

We expect that you write in full RP and that you write a full paragraph or more for each question.

If you have any questions about my feedback, or would like to create some constructive criticism about the way I give feedback (I.E am I being TOO blunt, or am I coming across rude) then please send me a message! I take all questions, none are stupid! :) You are not allowed to apply again for a full 24 hours.
