Welcome to the thread for the "Brains Vs Builds" competition, graciously allowed to proceed by his bearded highness, Shiftnative. It will be a competition of brains, but also your building skills. It is a competition in which the 3 greatest Roleplayers on the server, voted by you, are pitted against the three greatest architects on the server, in a battle of wits, brains, and architectural brilliance, in which both groups must construct a building of an Asulonian descent with only the materials provided. Here the catch, the building must be built with the intent that all physical forces can be brought down upon it, and it shall remain standing, for example, it must be structurally sound, as well as containing the following items: - A bathroom - A master bedroom, and 2 smaller bedrooms. - A kitchen - A living room - A study - A fireplace. You will GAIN points for the following objectives completed: - Usage of contrasting materials, making the build seem lively, though not fantastical. - Use of as little materials as possible, but keeping to the rules. Any excess materials left over will gain you points. You will LOSE points for the following: - Materials look ugly together, and make the build look like a hovel. - Use of all your materials, and at the cost of points, getting a Judge to spawn items in for you. All other extras added in will score you more points. When building, only one builder from each team will be present at the build site. They will receive 5 minutes at the build site, and then be teleported out and their next team member will be swapped in. There will be a 30 second contact period in which the swapped out contestant may tell the contestant about to go in, what he has done, and what needs doing. This will ensure the use of teamwork, and prioritizing of the build. The voting for the groups will begin on Sunday.
