I've had my quarrels with this as well,

How about - If any player wishes to reset their playercard and or play a new character, you must post in a new subforum - explaining your characters leave or death in a minimal of Five paragraphs. Including screenshots in the post would be admired aswell.

VIP's will keep their few exemptions and players that can't be bothered writing up their story and or reason can donate to get reset

The main problem with playing multiple characters on one account is that you share the same previous LWC permissions, region permissions and bank accounts.

in reality, anyone starting a new character should have their mina's wiped as well.

Good idea Native, but what happens if people utilize meta banks to get out of the mina reset? Well, I say that you'd have to be a member for x amount of time before you get /resetme's

Or, you can have race presets which you can set, which have different mina deposits for each preset, without the ability to exchange minas with the two, and an OOC-bank where incomng minas go to, and from the OOC bank, can be distributed to the preset banks.

The metabank is an issue, as is the skills thing, but I like your idea Native. Respiren said something similar when I was talking to him the other day. I'd make some of the post basic information on the new character though, rather than all the dramatic death of your character.

Couldn't you also post there if you want to play as a new character and your current one goes "missing"?

What about we use /resetme as a different package? You pay 10 bucks and can use it indefinitely. 10 bucks is a lot less daunting than 500.

And in regard to the /setsoul argument, it was mainly a quick fix for no race specific soulstones. VIPs can still have multiple soulstone locations.

How about we release /resetme?. . .

Native, Whilst your idea is /Good/, I dont see the point, since the /Point/ in this thread is aimed for those with More than 1 Character.

My point is playing more than one character on the same account is no bueno!

but it seems we will need to facilitate this or people will do it anyway

Wrong.

Nevertheless, it was originally VIP, and was made universal for the good of the server. The VIPs then got an improved version.

The issue is incorrect character cards on reset as people do not donate to reset at all. Having a reset donation package is like dropping the price of meat to encourage vegetarians to eat meat. They're not going to eat meat anyway, some people will not or cannot donate.

but it seems we will need to facilitate this or people will do it anyway

They'll do it anyway anyway.

For people who play multiple characters on the same account...

From my experience, people playing multiple characters on the same account abuse it. "Not all but many" Using one character to make mina, and then switching to the "VA" character to use that mina.

I'd only support open /resetme if the mina's were wiped each time. Even then there are ways around it.

I'd like to see /resetme made available to all players for free. New players don't always know what style of role-play suits them or what race and/or community is right for them. Old players get burned out and want a change of pace. Not all of us can justify spending money for something as simple as a change in one or two words from our character card, so we don't do it and roll around with misleading information clogging our profile.

Make it free. Wipe minas if it makes you feel better, but realize that most players are going to transfer the money or use alt banks anyhow. No need for a complicated procedure for all of it, just make it free. We're not donating for it now, we won't donate for it later. It's not really a perk, it's just a bunch of sloppy and confusing character cards that could easily be cleaned up if the option to do so were free or made available at a much lower donation level.

No sense sticking a player with a boring, miserable race that they hate or an inaccurate character card just because they can't justify or muster a donation at that time.

If they are on the same account, they have the same skills. The problem is multiple accounts.

And if you know of someone using multiple characters like that, get evidence and report them! Do the server a favour.

Its not so much a problem anymore. The GM's used to give you /resetme if you just modreq and asked nicely.

If GMs will reset you anyway, why waste their time by making them do it, rather than giving the player an eight character command to do it themself?
