Out-Of-Character

Minecraft Account Name:

My account name is "xDrapor"

How old are you?:

I am 15 years of age.

Time-Zone/Country of Residence:

My Time-Zone is Eastern Standard Time, Canada.

Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?:

Nobody is perfect but I believe that I'm good in overall. It's also my primary language, and I am in an advanced placement class for English.

Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself:

I'm someone that's quite energic and funny, but still in a mature way. I'm also, a perseverent person, I don't really give up at something that there's still chance to do something about it. As you can see on my BukkitDev page for my plugin DynamicBan, I am an experienced plugin developer. I also know HTML, CSS, other than Java. These things aside, I am also a very good manager, of both others and myself. I currently own two servers, which I am able to manage besides going to other servers.

How much time could you be on the server weekly?:

I can be on the server for about 48 hours weekly, depending on priorities that I have in real life. However much I might love this server, I still feel my responsibilities come first, and I am sure that anyone would agree.

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you:

Roleplaying is putting yourself in the place of a character, in a different world, in the current situation that he is in, by his respectful biography that you yourself have set for it. It's mostly being a person in another world, act by the lore of the server and by the will of himself. There is a different story for everybody's character. This can be easily summarized by this: To me, Roleplaying gives a person the opportunity to surpass the limits of real life, and take on the role that the person can only imagine.

What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?:

I have set-up a Roleplaying server with quests, and made step-by-step quest missions that players had to complete to gain money, ranks, or the next quest. I have also played Roleplaying games, such as the Zelda series, as a child. But for roleplaying, never really had any experience, but I believe that I'll do good, we all have to start somewhere right?

In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is:

Metagaming is using information that you know out-of-character and throw it in-character. For example, If you don't know the name of the person in question, and says it, it's metagaming since he never told you nor have you ever heard it. It's mostly about using information that, in a normal situation, your character doesn't know. For example, giving the other character's age without even have him to tell you is metagaming, but giving something aproximative shouldn't be, like, he isn't more than 18 or he's probably a youngling, etc. but still, to me, Meta-Gaming is the act of a character acting based on the guidance of the player, and using preconceived ideas gained from the player.

In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is:

Powergaming is abusing the game mechanic, unrealistic RP and enforcing something to someone. The "game mechanic abuse" would be, for example, starting PvP without any warning, not giving a single chance to the opposite person, or, starting to run while you can't. If your legs are broken, and you start running, it's unrealistic and powergaming, mostly game mechanic abuse. Also, you can't go to someone, going behind him by the game mechanic, not emoting nor giving any other chance for him to notice and just engage PvP on him for a poor reason without having a "Villain application". That would not only be powergaming, but also a No-RP kill, I've read the rules twice, and I know how it works.

What do you expect this server will be like?:

I expect this server to be extremely detailed and richly unique, as I have heard about things like orc's having a special language, wars and much more from a friend that currently plays on this server. Well, by myself, after spending a lot of time reading the lore, I've come to think that it's going to be a great adventure for myself.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:

WhoCraft - Owner was inactive, so he shut down the server.

ExperienceCraft - Server closed down, was co-owner. I liked it, but too many change occured and I didn't like it anymore, but I gave a lot of efforts into this server, and I'm proud of it.

DynamicCraft - Still play, owner. It's where my own plugins are mostly tested/used. I believe that it's used somewhere else as well. It's my server, and I really love it.

EmeraldCraft - Helped set up for a friend, then I ventured into making my own server. I still give few tips and help sometime, mostly for fixing errors with plugins and codes. We are currently re-making this server.

Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?:

Yes, I have read the rules, understood and agreed to them. I believe that I could re-write them in my own words if I wanted to.

Do you promise to abide by said rules, and laws? This includes the Server, Forum, and Teamspeak set Rules:

Yes, I promise to abide to the said rules and laws. If I ever come to break one of them, I'll take any punishment, even the worse if it's needed.

How did you hear about us? Did someone refer you?:

My friend BadCall referred me to this server. He speaks highly about it. I heard he got banned, and that saddens me, as he is a genuine person, we all make mistakes, and as humans we all have to harness the nature in us to forgive. I'm not staff, but this is merely my opinion.

Have you previously made an Application? If so could you link us to your last Application?:

Yes, my previous application can be found here.

Have you posted this application on our minecraft forum thread yet? If not, just finish it up on here and then copy + paste is over there. In-Character:

Character Name:

Hey! My name is Blake Jones

What Race are you?:

I believe I belong to the Human race.

What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race):

I am fully Human, nothing else.

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

Blake Jones is an aspiring soldier who was born in a quite town to extremely poor parents. He lost his father and mother at age 4, and hopes to continue his father's legacy of being in the army. Since his father was a high-ranking soldier, Blake has many expectations to live up to. Although Blake may appear as friendly and happy to his friends, he has a hidden bitterness lurking inside of him. His current age is 18 and he wishes to enlist in the army. Throughout his life, Blake wonders what life would be if his father was here. He knows that if he was still here, he would have learned many skills, like proper sword-use, and accurate bow-use. He also knows that he would have an easy path in the army with his fathers guidance. Knows these things makes him grow in anger and resentment, which only raise his bitterness.

Many people don't know about his bitterness, infact, the only person that does is his mother. The problem is, he hasn't spoken to her in many years, so the only form of expressing his true thoughts and feelings is diminished, and the shadow that is in him is bottle up. He knows that this will hold him back at one point of his life, but he does not care. Being an optimist, he likes to live in the present, but the ironic thing is, he dwells in what could have been, and recall's the past too often.

Blake has brown hair, is tall and muscular. He usually dresses casually in civilian clothing, especially when he is with his friends. Blake is an extremely fast runner, but has not-so-fast reflexes. Another fact is that Blake sometimes lets his emotions get to him. This has caused him to have great resentment for people, and a great amount of regret. He works hard to keep his emotions intact, hence the fake outlook of happiness. This fake outlook does not allow him to express his true feelings to anyone, and now, it has become embedded in him to be fake. Blake's height is about 5'3", and he, being a southerner, he is very tanned. Blake prefers to keep his hair short in a "line-up", but is obligated to his parents (who passed away while visiting Renatus). Blake holds the memories of his parents dear, but the pain of being alone has embedded a hidden personality into him.

What is your Character's ambitions?:

My character wishes to be a skilled warrior, a soldier. He plays around with tools, and is highly skilled at the crafts. His ambitions are to be a great adventure, whose fame surpasses that of his own nation, Salvus.

What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc):

Being a skilled warrior and marksmen, Blake's favorite tool is the sword and bow. He is also skilled with the pickaxe and shovel, which is necessary for survival in war-time.

What is one of your Character's most skilled talents?

The most skilled talent that Blake possesses is marksmanship and strength. His skill with the sword are infamous, yet deadly.

Other Information about your Character:

My character also has a fascination for Greek history, and learns many sword techniques from it. He reads many adventure novels and hopes to follow similar paths to the characters he read about. He is especially fond of his books on armies of the past. He gains courage, wisdom and aspirations from these novels and books.

Open-Response-Questions

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?

Blake sees warriors, suspiciously talking to a halfling. Suddenly, one of the warriors smack the halfling off his feet. Blake feels disgusted, and challenges the two armed warriors, distracting them while the halfling escapes. Blake plans in his mind: "If the two begin to overpower me, I will leave the situation, but saving the halfling from being harassed is his priority. If I was to be injured, or worse, killed, I will atleast be able to know that I fulfilled my destiny of helping someone else."

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response?

Blake walks into a tiny stall. The man behind the counter greets him with "'ello there, what can I do you for today?". Blake replies "Hey! I was looking for a strong cardigan, I plan to travel. Might you have some?"

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?:

Blake stumbles upon an unlocked chest. Inside it, he finds a few iron bars, and a golden sword. Blake strangely ignores the iron bars, but picks up the golden sword, amused. He then looks around to see if there is anyone around, check the room for any trace of someone living there. Once Blake confirmed that the hut was abandoned, he took the golden sword and placed it in his chest of memoirs. The material worth meant nothing to Blake, he looks more for sentimental and emotional worth in objects. This is the excellent explanation of why he holds the remaining memoirs of his parents dear.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond?

Blake smiles, attempting to make positive gestures. The towns people then realize that he does not understand them. They guide him to a spare tent so he can rest. Blake nod's his head in appreciation.

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?:

After Blake heard word about the bandits outside the town, he volunteered to help with no hesitation. Blake want's to prove himself as a patriotic person, who is filled with bravery. Blake's reasoning is: "Helping is my obligation, and part of my self-worth and self-calling."

I have attempted to fix all the necessary things that I was requested to fix.

Thank you for reading my application!

Denied, but much better.

ORQs are too short.

Get a more interesting skin.

If BadCall referred you, it's a shame your MCname isn't GoodCall.

Then we'd have BadCall, MediocreCall, and GoodCall XD

Anyway, re-apply in 24 hours and good luck!
