He met another Dwarf named Reidar, who would become his best friend. One day Garrum was going to go visit Reidar, but when he arrived he found Reidar dead. Garrum swore to protect the innocent and fight for the just until his death. Garrum eventually took up a hobby of fishing, as he loved the tase of fish.

Bio (5 or more sentences): Tortek was born in a small village along the outskirts of the dwarven territory. When he was a young boy, a troop of Orcs had lit several of the buildings on fire, and had begun to slaughter the helpless villagers. While trying to escape he was seen by the Orcs, who then chased him down and captured him. When he awoke he had chains around his hands, him along with the other survivors were being brought to a human city to be sold as slaves. Tortek was bought by a rich and powerful human, he served as a slave to him for many years until he was finally able to escape. After several years of travel Tortek had finally escaped to the Dwarven territories. Whilst he was travelling a small group of Orcs had seen him, and were now after him. They had wounded him badly and as he ran away a group of dwarves led by Morkus Ironfist were trooping near him and came toward the sound of the commotion. They were able to chase away the Orcs, and they brought Tortek to the Dwarven capital to have his wounds healed. While Tortek was being healed he got to know Morkus very well. After he explained to Morkus that he had no family, Morkus adopted Tortek and took him in.
