How old are you?:

I am currently 15 almost 16

Time-Zone/Country of Residence:

I live in Denmark, and my time zone is : GMT + 1

Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?:

My knowledge on the English language is above average, and I have been complemented on my grammar several times by my teachers.

Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself:

I love to make fantasy stories in my head. I know when to shut and when to make my statements. I take the stuff that I like very serious and I know when it is time to be silly and goofy and when to be professional and serious.

How much time could you be on the server weekly?:

Being currently in school I would probably be able to spend about 9 – 10 hours of game play in the server.

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you:

For me role – playing is the thing that I like to do in my spare time. It is the place where I like to let loose my imagination and knowing that the people around me also thinks the same. It is the place where I can live myself into several roles that I have created and developing those characters inside the game.

What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?:

I have been playing a good amount of role-playing in real life, and I love to do it. I take RP’ing serious because of the amount of hours I have spend playing it.

In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is:

Meta- gaming is a term used often in RP’ing games. It mean that the player learns something inside the game, from outside the game. As an example it could be that I have spend minutes learning the world map from a website, and when I join the game I instantly know where all the important places are, a thing that would have taken me several hours learning inside the game but only took me minutes learning. It takes a big part of the role- playing genre out of the game because the element of exploring would be completely gone in this example. In my own opinion this ruins my experience in-game and I do not use it in my normal day.

In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is:

Power gaming is also a term used in role-playing games. It can be explained through an example : Lusty encounters an orc on the road. Lusty swings his sword at the orc, piercing through his hearth immediately, making the orc drop dead. In this example we see that Lusty doesn’t let the orc player respond and doesn’t assume any resistance from the other player. A good example of not using power- gaming would be : Lusty swings his sword at the orc, but misses his chest. Now the orc player can give a response and the role-playing can go on. Power-Gaming, takes the dynamic feeling of Role-playing out of the game, and leaves to no long and interesting fights which normally happens in a proper role playing game.

What do you expect this server will be like?:

I hope that the server players will be just as serious about role playing as I am, and that I will have some great times in the server.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:

I have played on my friends server, but that is more of a server where we fool around. I haven’t played on any other RP servers in Minecraft and I hope this will be my first.

Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?:

Yes – I have read and understood the rules of the game.

Do you promise to abide by said rules, and laws? This includes the Server, Forum, and Teamspeak set Rules:

Yes – I promise to serve under the rules and laws of the server.

How did you hear about us? Did someone refer you?:

A friend who is in the server told me about this server.

Have you previously made an Application? If so could you link us to your last Application?:

‘Yes, I have made one previous application :http://www.lordofthecraft.net/forum/index.php?/topic/56370-sir-lust%c2%b4%c2%b4s-application/

In-Character:

Character Name:

Wrex Lusty , son of Bill Lusty

What Race are you?:

I am a human

What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race):

I come from the northern regions of Oren , and therefore I am a Northerner.

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

growing up in a medium sized village, where it was hard to grow anything because of the weather, Wrex learned a few things about being a practical farmer. He lived together with his sister, his mother and his father. At the age of 14, Wrex was given a wooden sword by his dad, and since then he has use almost every free time he has had to train with it. At the age of 16, his village was burned down by a band of orc raiders. Wrex only barely survived the raid together with his sister and mother, but saw the tragic sight, of seeing his dad’s dead corpse being dragged away by the orcs. Together with his family he traveled to a great northerner city and there he spend three years, training hard to one day join the northerner army. The day his mother died, was a dark day for Wrex and his mothers last words was to “follow his dreams”. He took these words deep and a few days later he left the city to find an army who would fight a worthy cause. His sister, who had already started a family in the city, stayed there knowing that Wrex was going to be a good warrior.

On his travels, Wrex learned that not all orcs were evil monsters. He had previously presumed that all orcs were savage creatures , but he saw many orc villages on his travels. His hate to the race didn’t disappear though and still to this day, Wrex avoids any contact with the green – skins.

Wrex’s looks truly shows that he is from the cold north. His light brown hair is rough from his travels and the harsh wind, while his skin is the well known colour of the northerners, Pale. His age is currently 20.

Wrex is truly a soldier in his hearth, and in his opinion, the greatest adventures comes from searching dungeons, and slaying beasts and monsters. He is not the greatest of tactician and prefers to charge into the enemy, rather than making battle plans. Honor is a thing which Wrex takes very serious. To lie is a thing which he was not raised with, and he gives his honest opinion about the things he sees.

What is your Character's ambitions?:

Wrex’s ambitions is to one day join a faction or army. He thrives in the company of other true warriors, and to fight for honor and justice with others is the greatest life goal of Wrex. Owning a city or shop, does not interest Wrex, only the battlefields and war cries attract his attention. He has never been a leader, but a fearless follower, and he knows his place in the hierarchy. He greatest wish would be to one day be remembered alongside the other war heroes of Asulon.

What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc):

Spending a few years learning how to wield a wooden sword, has taught Wrex a thing or two about wielding swords, and he only feels save with a sword at his side. Being a farmer boy has also taught him to use a hoe, but this tool is not a good war weapon. Wrex has learned this the hard way.

What is one of your Character's most skilled talents?

Wrex’s most skilled talent is his courage. He did not run away when his home was burning and his family in danger, and he has not cowered in fear in his time as a traveler in the unknown. He does not fear the unknown, and it is his courage which has made him the promising warrior he is today.

A screenshot of your skin (must be in proper format, if you do not know how to acquire one, click here: http://www.lordofthecraft.net/forum/index.php?/topic/51343-how-to-obtain-your-skin-screenshot/):

Other Information about your Character:

Wrex is a loyal soldier, and when he has found a leader he finds trustworthy he does not leave this persons side. When I battle Wrex only knows one thing. There can only be one side who wins. He is ruthless about his enemies and he has no mercy for the defeated enemy.

Open-Response-Questions

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?

Wrex does not take long to evaluate the scenery, and quickly shouts at the warriors. The two warriors does not take much notice of him, but when Wrex continues to shout at them, one of the warriors turn around and faces him. The warrior draws his blade, and carefully advances on Wrex. What he does not expect is Wrex’s wild combat style. Wrex lets out a loud battle cry and charges the warrior head on. The warrior is taken by surprise and falls over from the charge. As Wrex is about to pierce his enemy, he barely dodges an attack going for his chest. He sees that the other warrior had noticed his victory over the other warrior and was about to take him out while Wrex was killing his partner. As the first warrior gets on his feet, he quickly begins to retreat, knowing that this fight could end in either death or a broken limb.

Surprised by his partners retreat, the other warrior loses his concentration from Wrex, a decision he soon regrets. Wrex swings at the bandit, and I quick enough to damage his targets non- wielding arm. The warrior lets out a small whelp because of the pain, but quickly starts to concentrate. Parrying the next hits from Wrex, he soon gains the upper hand. Even for a courageous soldier as Wrex, he sees that this is a fight he cannot win. He lets out a might battle roar, a roar one could only assemble if he was from the northern ice wastes. Wrex collects all his strength and strikes at his enemy with a mighty two-hand blow. The warrior stumbles back from the attack, and loses his focus for a few seconds. Due to Wrex’s nature retreat is not an option, and he strikes with the last of his strength at the warrior’s helmet. The warrior takes the hit directly to the head, and lies completely still after the attack. Under all this, the halfling has been watching the fight, and now sees his savior collapse due to complete fatigue. Wrex wakes a few hours later, noticing that he is not at the same location as when he collapsed. The halfling has taken his savior to a nearby inn, and has bought a room for Wrex. The barmaid, informs him of the halflings gratitude, and Wrex is satisfied. He knows he could not have watched as the halfling was being robbed.

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response?

Wrex is greatly interested In the salesman’s fine wares, especially the fine armor chest piece, Wrex speaks out his great interest in the armor piece. The salesman notes this, and offers the armor piece for a slightly higher price than usual. He knows that if the customer wants an item greatly, he will also pay greatly. Wrex is a little surprised by the high price, but finally agrees on the offer. The armor piece is too tempting to pass on, and he pays the salesman the slightly overrated price. Such situations happen from time to time to Wrex, but due to his trusting nature, he often does not see these tricks.

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?:

During his travels, Wrex has learned a little about quality of the different kinds of ore, and he seems to remember something about the golden sword. He does take the iron bars, but can’t decide on the sword. He eventually takes the sword with him, but avoids using it, keeping to a stone sword he has bought some weeks ago. At a certain point, Wrex encounters a traveling merchant, selling all kinds of different valuables. Wrex sells him the iron bars, for a descent price and then asks the merchant about the sword.

The merchant quickly starts to grin slightly and asks: “I hope that you have not bought that sword, warrior. That sword is less worth than the straps on my boots!” Wrex explains the merchant of his find, and is very pleased about learning this lecture now than later. The merchant advices him to throw it away, and not knowing what else to do with the sword, Wrex plants the sword into the soft soil besides the road, hoping that someone else might find use in it, because he can certainly not see any worth in it..

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond?

Wrex explains his current situation, and says that he knows a little about working at a farm. The local farmer agrees on letting Wrex help out with his current harvest, and alongside the other farmhands, Wrex begins the hard work.

Exhausted after a long day of harvesting, Wrex asks the farmer for some supplies, for his work. The farmer is an honest man as Wrex and rewards him with both some bread and seeds, that Wrex can use himself or sell at the nearest town, for his hard work. Wrex is satisfied with this good trade, and thanks the farmer greatly for this payment. The farmer looks at Wrex for a moment and then says: “you know lad, you seem like a fine warrior. But you also seem to know your way around a field. If you are so lucky to retire from a military career, think about starting or joining a farm.” Wrex takes his advice, and agrees on the view point. A farmers life doesn’t sound that bad, and WHEN he retires, that could be a way to use the free time, he would get without his travels and fighting.

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?:

Wrex encounters one of the guards and asks to join. The guard evaluates him and takes him to the town barracks. As Wrex enters he can feel that adrenaline pumping feeling in the air. Only being in the preparation room for a short time, Wrex already feels his blood boil, and he feels ready for the upcoming attack. He is finally lead to a door, on which the guard knocks and enters. Inside the room stands a average sized man, leaning over a map of the nearby forest. The guard introduces Wrex as a volunteer and then leaves the room. The guard leader, greets Wrex and asks him why he wants to join the attack.

Wrex doesn’t hesitate for long before answering: “ Sir, I wish to one day join an army myself, and knowing that it is my future duty to defend the land I serve under, it would not be any different than defending this village. I saw a lot of good shield-brothers in the preparation hall, and I wish to join them in this attack.”

The leader looks pleased with Wrex’s response and his honesty, and asks him to look at these plans that he has made. Wrex replies quickly that he is not a tactician, and would rather fight than plan. The leader looks a little bit disappointed, but accepts that not all humans are tacticians. “ Very well lad, take what you haven’t acquired yourself of armor and weaponry and meet up outside the barracks in a few minutes.
