Hey Asulon,

A few changes have been made to our most recent patch after hearing your feedback.

  • Wooden tools no longer have a minimum level to craft, however higher level lumberjacks will get better quality tools.
  • Sticks no longer have a minimum level to craft, however higher level lumberjacks will get more sticks / plank.
  • The correct color planks are now given from different types of logs.
  • Signs no longer have any level restriction to craft.
  • Beds no longer have any level restriction to craft.
  • Bows and Arrows are now ARCHERY related, require archery levels to create, and provide experience to archers.
  • Stone tools now only require level 5 blacksmithing to create.
  • (Offtopic) Fixed the gate plugin.
  • Flint n Steel is now a blacksmithing item, and requires blacksmithing levels to craft.
  • Addressed a major performance bug.

First

*looks at his negative reputation and shrugs it off.

This patch is excellent despite the constant complaints it has received. Thank you for it, it brings a whole new assortment of roleplay opportunities for the members of Lord of the Craft. =)

Stone tools now only require level 5 blacksmithing to create.

Is this the same as the wood ones? As in this is bare minimum, meaning you will craft poor quality items?

Flint & Steel shouldn't require blacksmithing levels, it's just a piece of metal and a rock.

A big thankyou, this should put some minds at rest.

EDIT: I guess both sides of the argument needed to compensate, everything that was edited made sense in RP terms, you must admit.

Blacksmiths at 100 need a higher chance, they are masters at this point and the game should behave accordingly.

No. Wooden tools will automatically have 25% durability, even at level 0. Stone tools will have 20%.

Well I am just curious as to what 'sailing' is...

Not once is it mentioned again after this point.

Edit: Oh, and I agree with Hawk on the diving stuff... I mean, we don't even know what 'steam' is at this point. How can we make working diving helmets? I imagine that someone is shoving a bucket on their head and hoping that they can catch a bit of air in there when they go under or something.

While I do think that the breathing rods are an awesome idea, why does someone need to be trained in fishing to stick their mouth on a hollow stick and breath?

Shouldn't 100 level blacksmiths have a higher chance? Such as a 1/20 of messing up? To get level hundred you should be pretty good at it. Another suggestion is to tie in racial traits to the skill system such as giving Dwarves better blacksmithing, elves better fletching/bows, humans better farmers, and Orcs have higher chances with wrestling?
