LaCabra (Soda) 1519 Share Posted September 11, 2013 Blood dripped from several places down Mugrak's body, mainly streaming from his nose and his hand. His eyes burned a furious yellow, his pupils like daggers, as bloodlust ran throughout his many bulging veins. His chest beat up and down rhythmically, his breathing coming out as heavy pants. The previous few hours had been testing the young Orc's prowess and skill, a trial to join the mighty Gorkil clan. It had begun with a simple, painful trial - Mukrag was given a spade, and was ordered to make himself bleed by it. His mind battled his body, though eventually, Mukrag's body won the challenge, and he ended up with a bloody, broken nose. The next trial was more complex. Mukrag had been ordered by Thore'Gorkil, Clanfather of the Gorkil clan, to challenge the first Orc he saw to a klomp. Not soon after, a Braduk wandered past Mukrag, and was quickly summoned to the arena. Their pride welled up as they prepared to fight, their tusks and teeth clashing together as they released roars and prayers to the Spirits. Mukrag wiped the blood from his broken nose under his eyes in a small pattern, a war-tactic used to spread fear through enemies. After they were prepared for the fight, the klomp began. Fists flew, kicks were swung, teeth gnashed, and bones bruised, as the fight wore on. Overtaken by the signature bloodlust of the Orcish kind, Mugrak released an earsplitting shout, and an odd power ran throughout his body, and alas, the duel was over, the Braduk at his feet. Mukrag's fists flew in the air, as he cheered proudly. Through the celebration, Thore climbed down into the arena, boasting a dagger in his hands. A bit confused, and unaware of the final test, Mukrag watched him curiously. Thore's deep, rumbling voice spoke out, "Give lat hand..." and Mukrag did so. Howling in pain, Mukrag shouted as the dagger was thrust into his hand, and Thore carved the sign of the Gorkil clan. Blood dripped quickly down his hand, thankfully the pain was numbed by Mukrag's bloodlust. Thore shouted out a solemn oath as Mukrag bled, and after a few painful minutes, the rite was made final... Mukrag was now a member of the clan who once ruled in Aegis, the clan whose old leader slayed Tythus'Raxx, the clan who was so reputable among the nations of the world. Mukrag was not a clanless Orc, Mukrag was now a Gorkil.
Catarrh 720 Share Posted September 12, 2013 Mukrag had been ordered by Thore'Gorkil, Clanfather of the Gorkil clan, to challenge the first Orc he saw to a klomp. Not soon after, a Lur wandered past Mukrag, and was quickly summoned to the arena. Great post, but seeing as the orc Mukrag fought was in fact my character, I feel the need to let you know that Malog isn't a Lur. Still a great post though. Catarrh 720 Share Posted November 10, 2013 (edited) ((Hey I'm thinking of making an orc and I want to join this clan but first I need to learn how to speak the language.)) Here's a good place to start http://wiki.lordofthecraft.net/Blah The rest is just misspelled English. For example, many orcs can't pronounce the letter "S" and use the letter "Z" instead, so "I'm going to stack some rocks" would be "Mi guin tu ztak zum rawkz" or something along those lines. It's basically about phonetic spellings (spelling the way it sounds). It really is an easy language when you get the hang of it. As for understanding it, it always helps to read aloud whatever an orcs says to you. An orc's speech may look hard to understand, but when you read it out-loud it sounds more or less like English. Hope this reply was helpful. Edited November 10, 2013 by Catarrh

VonAulus 2082 Share Posted November 14, 2013 If anyone is interested in joining the clan, please contact me IC. ((VonAulus)) Any orc is allowed to join if they are not already part of a clan. If you need any help starting up your character, there are many veteran orcs willing to help. The language is not that hard, it just takes a bit to get use to.
