also Is Necrmancey a Mages Guild Profession? summon a zombie to fight for u for 20 secs or something or like instant tame on a skele/zombie for 30 secs but it fights for u

Necromancy is a magical school, although I doubt it is one the Mage's Guild will endorse or train - especially if it wishes to remain neutral with the nations of Aegis!

Shame about necromancy. Consider: one could study it for greater understanding of the Undead so that they could be defeated...

We shall defeat them... USING SCIENTIFIC PRINCIPLES WITH MAGIC! ... It's just not the same as saying "For Science!"

I've seen you had a villian app. Being a evil character is not aloud within this guild. the guild is of balance and terrorizing people with the magic we teach is not maintaining the balance. With a confirmed villian app your chances to get accepted would decrease. If you got accepted and say you robbed someone you would most likely get voted to be removed from the guild. More people must understand that this guild isnt for the greedy and power hungry. We are neither good nor evil. neutrality is key in this guild to succeed even when its hard to remain so. Trust me i know.

That's not entirely true. If we ever need to... remove a certain awkward member of a nation that is causing some rather large problems, it would be good to have someone we can fall back who can do the "Wet Work" with no questions asked.

The balance is neither good nor evil. A evil character is somewhat picking a side. As you know that is unacceptable in the guild.

Technichally, unless character is RP known villain, you have no way to know about his villain app in RP, so denying ppl becouse of it would be metagaming.

Since Magic is a long time coming and we already have obviously good-aligned people in the Guild I see no qualms with letting in someone with...different viewpoints.

But magic won't be here for a while so we really don't need to worry about it quite yet.

Magic has not come out yet so applications are not being accepted at the moment. Guild applications are also not being accepted until magic comes out.

((At first when seeing the mages guild stuff some time ago I was like "Eh just gonna do it loner style" because that's how my character was, he didn't really start any conflicts(Though I did get a guy who rply spit on me arrested >:D) But my character since has changed, and with the fall of Snowy, then being replaced by Crimson Vale http://www.lordofthecraft.net/forum/index.php?/topic/14004-crimson-vale/page__p__59137__fromsearch__1#entry59137 I just so happen to be close to the lord, old rp buddies, both seekers of knowledge, I'll talk to him about a mages guild being made there if you guys are on board. Also, we're as neutral as it gets, I live next to a necromancer who hasn't killed anyone there :P and Ascended are welcome as long as they don't start conflict with our local necromancer. And we have the same warnings to our more evily aligned people starting things with the good aligned, we have a mix of both sides with the guards so far. I'm sure Juvens(The lord) would be very welcome of it being he is basically just like my character with interest in knowledge))

((No thank you, Shen. We are not making new guild houses at the moment, and our version of neutrality differs from the Crimson Vale.))

((Here is the current situation: If you all check my profile you can see Slayer is going to be gone for a bit. As you all also know, Magic is NOT coming out anytime soon. Here is what I propose:

1) Disband the Mage's Guild for now. There is no Magic, all the quests we have lined up now are fairly useless until it comes out but I don't want them to go to waste.

2) Reform as The Scholar's Guild, with an OPEN APPLICATION process. Guildmasters, you can finally have members.

3) Maintain neutrality but in the essence that we do not help nor approve of the Undead. (I will explain this more in-character to you all.)

4) Begin accepting members and making use of the Guildhouses. (Need to rebuild Laurelin guildhouse. Volunteers?)

5) Work solely as an information-collecting group which seeks to preserve knowledge in Aegis. Anything and everything we learn we will keep to ourselves except in the most dire of circumstances.

6) Begin work on transcribing the Modern History of Aegis as much as we all can remember all of the crazy events that have happened.

7) Begin copying all of the books on the server of any value into Word documents(My own mission.)
