The Arcane Delvers

Polgrath

Kalenz enters the half built school of the Arcane Delvers, the makeshift entrance door creeks open as he enters. Saying nothing he quickly ascends the staircase. His footsteps can be heard echoing in each room he passes. He makes not a single notion to acknowledge the existence of anyone during his brisk walk. There seems something strange about the normally liberally insulting elf. An eerie silence is about him. He searches for Polgrath on each level, slowly making his way to the mountain top.

"Its has been three elven weeks since I first joined the delvers time flies really fast but I feel like I'm just a sitting person, protecting? People who use magic? If I'm going to get stronger I will have to do it now."

*Seyer starts walking off hoping to find some training and told no one of his departure and won't go home until he is stronger (( still playing as him but M.I.A to Crestfall and the delvers))

Kalenz continues searching, his walking having now slowed. As you glance to him you see his face is pale and eyes weary. He stumbles on the stairs as he climbs.

*Djinne looks over at Kalenz, the usually graceful elf stumbling on the stairs, his eyes not so sharp and proud as they once were.

"Kalenz? Need something?"

*Smoke, who is happening to be leaning on a wall inside the Arcane Delvers building, overhears the conversation between Djinne and Kalenz. He walks over to them, his posture stating his curiosity.*

"Sorry, but did I just hear you say, 'Cataris'?"

-Meanwhile atop the mountainous range of the Wilven Sanctuary, Cataris can be seen chasing Djinne. No longer is Cataris wearing his tattered and dirty purple robes, but he is wearing nothing. His skeletal structure is frail, cracked and charred, within his ribcage sits a black circular ball. Djinne stands atop a rock, taking the high ground, around them a dozen men and women over-watch the event. Cataris waves his hand in an arc, the grass, flowers and trees around him suddenly rot and die, a sliver of green energy leaves the now dead plants and flows towards Cataris' palm. The steel mask hiding his destroyed skull, it is carved in permanent sorrowful, forever in misery. The green energy within Cataris' hand suddenly ignites into electricity, he thrusts out his arm and just like that, a thunderous boom is heard and a bolt of lightning spirals towards Djinne. The crowd grow quiet in shock, Djinne is hit and sent to the ground. The black ball within Cataris' ribcage begins to manipulate, morphing into a dozen tendrils which shoot out, grasping and wrapping themselves around the trunks of trees, they lift him through the air and place him before Djinne.

Djinne seeing the futility in the fight, he decides to run. Cataris begins to slowly lumber after him, the grass under his step he takes wither and dies at the touch of his skeletal feet. Djinne leaps into a river of water, streaming down into the lake of the Cloud Temple. Cataris quickly begins to perform a variation of hand movements, finally holding his hands above his head, electricity sparks to life, shooting back and forth between both his hands. The heat and light of the electricity grows increasingly, finally he throws down his hands at the water, a beam of lightning leaves his hands, striking the water. Djinne convulses in the water, electricity coursing throughout his entire body, he slowly sinks into the water, all strength having left his body and finally, his breathing stops. Cataris closes his hands, the beam of electricity stops, his bones begin to make a sickening creak and pop as he hunches down, taking the once more pose of an old, frail and weak Lich. The crowd stands there stunned, Djinne's body slowly floats back up to the surface, monks can be seen rushing towards his body to rescue him whilst Cataris begins to make his escape.-

((RP happened IG, Djinne isn't permadead, as per the monks saving him))

[No villainous actions in the temple. But being you did it right.. Though, if the magic you preformed was in any sort 'Dark'. It constitues a negated effect, which would reflect on Cataris, then Djinne].

[After much searching, Cyrus eventually finds the residence of The Arcane Delvers. ((Which took some IC help from a random Mageshield and Djinne, as well as some lucky searching. I did in fact find the building IC, in case you couldn't conclude that from my previous words.;) ))

*approaches the building, and reads the sign on it: 'Est. 49'*

"Just my luck.."

*enters the building through the front steps. Once inside, he takes a few steps and clears his throat*

*says in a loud voice:* "Is anyone present?"

*Looks at the weary Elf curiously, then replies:* "Karin'ayla, sir.. I'm looking for one Polgrath or Kalenz. Would you know where I could find one or both of them?"
