The Solace Festival Today!

A large Banner hangs upon the Cloud Temple pillars, Seemingly Numerous and scattered through the temple.

On the 49th year this Elven Day. We the people of Asulon will be celebrating the new King of Solace, James Hightower. Please come to Solace, so we may not only celebrate him, but the wonderful change in the seasons. Please dress accordingly for this festival, and leave your weapons at home.

*Jake slowly gets up from the bed in Syrio's quarters where Gorum has been taking care of him and looks up with widened eyes as he gets a party invite from his old friend James, grins loudly as he thinks of the crazy parties they had been to together and slowly commands one of many servants to write a note for him and starts slowly talking while the scribe writes on a fancy looking note with King Jake's signature on the bottom.*

"To my dear friend James Hightower, I know we haven't spoken in some time sadly to say the least. Things have happened to me that hurt me deeply both pyschical and mentally. Let me explain ; It was the first day of summer and I was having a little nap when I suddenly heard loud screaming in the tavern I had rented a room at, I went downstairs to see what was happening. When I came down into the main area of the tavern the tavernkeeper was sitting on his knees with something silver pushed against his neck and alot of green colour behind him, I slowly focussed my eyes and saw the longsword of some orc pressed against the man's throat. I immediatly grabbed for the hilt of my blade that was attached to my belt but it was too late. The man looked at me with despair and fear cause he knew he would die today, the orc swung up with his sword and slashed it down on the man's neck decapitating him. I watched in utter fear and mostly angryness at the orcs when I figured it was me that was next to go, I fought off two off the orcs but the third one hit me in the stomach with his sword almost penetrating it trough my spine. I got on my knees and fell down face first, He stabbed me more and more letting his blade dance over me and make deep cutts in my body. He ran after the others I were with came down after waking up, but they were too late. I lay there on the ground, blood flowing from my body as Gorum dragged me out of the tavern and put me on a cart to Kal Alras so I could recover.... Its now 3 months later and it feels like i've been gone for years, everything I once knew is changed but I hope our friendship hasn't and I would love to attend the feast. Though I would love to go I dont know if I can dance and enjoy life to its fullest when my scars remind me off that moment every damn minute... Sincerely you're good friend Jake Johnson."

*slowly gestures to his scribe and tells him to deliver it to James as fast as possible, as the scribe runs off to fetch his horse Jake slowly runs over the deepest cutt on his stomach and sighs.*
