The Battle For The Creek

Well, maybe nobody thought about this before, but it's not because they didn't follow Lore before, that nobody should follow it now. Lore is lore.

It's happened before and the Monks seem to be very happy healing those people.

That's irrelevant now. Whomever accepted the warclaim you linked obviously overlooked that fact. Sure, I have already thought upon the factor of monks being warclaimed before, they could be push overs but after time, they won't tolerate war on their lands. That was not the first time, and I doubt they would tolerate it this time.

From my understanding of how Gaius' stated what he did.

Lord of Oren gets land from Godfrey, Godfrey takes no part in it since it isn't his land anymore. Nope. It's under Oren territory, just like that is under Monk's.

That's it. I'm out of this claim, I'll let a WarClaim team member or a GM look upon this, and hope it get's denied.

PFFFF! FREYA! COME AND LOOK AT THIS POST.

Thats right, because the Cloud Temple Monks are imperialistic, not a wholly neutral collective of healers. My apologies!

Also, you do realize that Lornas possesses knowledge of an attack impending, in which she can seek the Monks who will urge those that they heal to participate in the defense, but my dearest apologies, they are neutral correct? They will be neutral to this person owning land in Cloud Temple. Also, you all bypass my point saying that diplomacy is something that can be used in this situation, pray tell most of the commenting people are still not stuck in their archaic assuming ways?

Hence why they won't appreciate the spilling of blood on their lands...

Another example such as the one Cataris stated:

-If I rent an apartment in a apartment building, the owners of the whole complex will still be VERY displeased if somebody robs me, or even worse, kills me, it's still their own, even if somebody lives on it for the time being-

Also, I think, if you want to see that I do believe in diplomacy in RP, go have a glance on my thread about warclaims.

The issue is, the Cloud Temple is not a faction in the concept of 'land ownership', they hold lands to keep pure and to expand more structures as homage to their arts. Cataris used a poor example stating 'Oren', Oren is a faction, they have an interest of holding land as a sign of their power and influence and to organize their citizenry throughout. The Monks are wholly neutral in the fact that, they gave this land to Lornas and if Lornas is attacked, they won't even know unless told; but also will not intervene. If people were being killed directly in their Sanctuary, that being the Temple itself, then yes **** will go down.

I never directed the diplomacy comment towards you Spamshok...

I'l concede to your point, I find it clearer now. Still don't tottaly agree, since if they want to keep the lands pure, they wouldn't accept bloodshed.

But I don't want to keep going in this argument, and all in all, your point has it's logics.

Also, that was merely a precaution, in case it WAS directed to me, since it was not targeted at one person precisly.

The monks in general. Gaius. Co-Own it with Lornas.

Edit: The monks do not heal those who do harm unto them. Spam. You are correct, a monk would heal a villain. In the case he's done nothing wrong to the order. If Lornas was alerted the battle was taking place, the monk's would have taken action. As it is THEIR/My lands.

Aye, I will leave my closing statement pertaining to this certain discussion between you and I. I meant pure as in pure, fertile, and healthily in flora and fauna. Especially this considering Tavari claims the land infertile, rotted, and brackish water quality.

The lands are infertile for the fact, the town is freezing cold. The water is rotted because it was used as a.. Sewer. .w. By a previous owner. The stone is rotted because of the ruin's age.

May I acquire if there is a Lore Post ascertaining this exact 'ownership'? Perhaps a Charter that I can view? For example, Maple Port was not 'co-owned' by Monks, they did a charter and gained the land deed from the Monks.

This was IC. Me speaking to the monks, then asking if a town could be built. They conceded the ruin might be needed for study, so I was given co-ownership.

So whom did you talk to In-Character in the server?

If this is the case and the monks said this, then present it to the Legion RPly, simple.
