WARNING: Before posting! keep in mind this is an idea we are trying in holm, not all over the forums.

Okay, so you can see through out the Holm topics that the main posters are trying to keep everything neat through these little begins in brackets. Such as [RP],[OOC],[iNFO],[RP!]

So I want to give a description on how these work and how to use them.

First off - What do they mean?

A few of them are simple, like [RP] and [OOC] but was do the others meen? Well here is a list!

[OOC] This post is out of chracter, plain and simple.

[RP] This posts main point is for RP, Some OOC is aloud, but in brackets only.

[iNFO] These posts are information about Holm. We ask that read all of these, thoguh the ones abotu guild and military are not a neccesary read.

[RP!] This is a HARDCORE forum RP. In no area are you aloud to ever post OOC material here. If OOC is needed you have to contact them elsewhere, not here.

So, that is simple right? I really hope this is helpful to everyone.

Also please vote in poll of if you like this or not. If you have any ideas for other labels we can use, please post.

Also, I don't believe there should be a forum thread that allows no OOC of any kind. There are numerous situations where OOC in a thread is useful, where everyone who reads needs to be aware of the OOC. Personal questions could be PMed, but there are things multiple people must know at once which makes OOC in-thread useful. If anything, they could keep it to spoilers to keep the forum feel clean, however I do not believe there should be a "Hardcore" thread for RP.

Forgot the poll, fixed now. and I believe that in heavy rp OOC should be handled elsewhere, nothing ruin my rp more than seeing brackets nonstop. Usualy this option is used for small rp's like mine and kanrath's rp in the redstone lab. Spoilers seems like it could be a good idea though.

Yes, those constant brackets are the reason Vaq implemented L-OOC into local chat, allowing you to speak OOCly to those near you, while looking distinctly different allowing you to view the RP much more cleaner and organized. I believe this situation is the same. OOC is needed if RP is to be as accurate as possible. If ((this is seen as a problem by many players, perhaps we should adopt a rule that..))

This is a wonderful idea, but I think we should have another label for polls. For instance, say we're having a census. You would create a poll, and there would be a few questions that you would have to answer. You would label it [RP][Poll]. Just my opinion, but it's a good idea overall.

Polls are already organized with a little pool tage even before the title. If you go out of this topic you can see that.

I know that, but that just means it INCLUDES a poll. What I want is something that says "RP Poll" or 'OOC Poll".
