An End To Aggression

As you walk through the entrance way into Kal'Anart, you notice a parchment, pinned up against the board, bold letters scrawled across it.

"Dwarves of Anart, whether you be Grandaxe, Edgehand or Forkbeard. This day, a rare meeting took place, yet one of great import. A meeting between two enemies of old, a meeting that will likely go down in the history of our clan, our nation and our race. This day, Gorgul Gorkil, Rex of the Uruk War Nation arrived in Kal'Anart and from there, we convenved in the keep. The Rex spoke of much of our history and the history of his own kind. An age, this war has lasted and forever will it be remembered in song and tales for years to come. Since the dawn of time, our races have feuded but also united in times of great need. Now, I feel, is one of these times. While we may all find it difficult to forget the horrendous crimes committed in this war on both sides, now may truly be the time to forgive and forget the past and look to our true enemy in the south.

But a week ago, the group, owing their alleigance to Emporer Godfrey of the Holy Oren Empire, known as the Teutonic Order, mercilessly attacked a group of Goblins and Thallion townsfolk at the gates to Arethor. Long have we quarrelled with the Teutons after their surrender to Oren and their turning to the Church of the Holy Oren Empire. It was not but a few years back that they showed up to Kal'Anart itself, their Hochmeister claiming the wish to one day enslave our race, that we were forced to turn our weapons upon them. Now they not only threaten us, but also the Uruk and our allies in Oren.

Therefore, in Bazian's absence, I, Morgrim Grandaxe, Overseer of Kal'Anart, hereby call upon all Dwarves who owe their alleigance to Anart and to clan Grandaxe to lay down their arms and end any and all hostilities with the Uruk. Those who reside in Goldhand and Irongut lands are free to follow the laws of said clan and in the coming days, we will see what is to come of this arrangement for both our hold and our nation. Any found breaking this treaty with the Uruk, will be punished accordingly.

- Morgrim Grandaxe, Overseer of Kal'Anart."

Copies of the notice are spread across the Dwarven Empire and sent to the Lords of each of the holds.

As the Inquisitor hears of this news, he grimaces underneath his mask. He unsheathes his sword, and stares into its blade as he mumbles to himself

“The judgement to the Warnation has only been delay, but not pardon. Yet sin written in the blood of innocence is not so easily fore-stall. The Teutonic shall drown in the blood of their own greed. No amount of armor will filter that”

Upon journeying to Kal'Anart to purchase some Iron, the elf happened upon an odd, but attention demanding, parchment. Upon reading it, his mouth slowly fell open as his gleaming purple eyes went wide in disbelief.

"I...I can't believe it. The Dwarfs, the dwarfs are doing it!"

Bursting into laughter that was very opposite of mocking, but joyous and happy, he couldn't help but at least jump, once.

"No more senseless blood shed for Orcs or Dwarfs! Even if this is temporary, I welcome it, and I pray that this friendship stays. If this is what it takes to end this pointless war, then I hope this Order never is defeated!"

The Elf would continue laughing as he ran back to Kal'Alras, not able to wait to tell the others the news.
