Conquest:

Conquest is the act of military subjugation of an enemy by force of arms. In other words it is the de jure incorporation of some territory into another geo-political entity (either adjacent or non-contiguous). Usually, it is implied that the territory and population being annexed is the smaller, more peripheral, and weaker of the two merging entities, barring physical size.

Opposing Faction: The Silverblade forces + Allies

Defending Faction: ArmaLuna

Name of the battle: The Warrior's Fate.

Rp Reasoning:

-EDIT RP THREAD HERE-

Nicolas Silverblade sits in the one of his many homes in Arethor, looking out the window as he enjoys a cup of tea with his brother, Gideon. In front of them lays a map of Asulon, points and positions laid across it. Nico’s eyes trail the map towards an island off of the coast of The Island Nation of Holm. His eyes narrow as they look over the island, he raises his hand from his cup, pointing towards the island, “Gideon, what island be that right there?” Gideon squints from across the table, “Which Island?” Nico takes back his hand, putting it on the handle of his teacup. He shakes the cup a bit; tea comes over the sides into the saucer. He then picks the cup up and places it over the island, leaving a circle around it.

Gideon chuckles, “Ah, you mean ArmaLuna, yes that was quiet a fun island.” Nico chuckles, familiar with the islands customs, he says, “Armaluna, lovely bards, great music, and beautiful woman.” He chuckles, “How is it doing now adays?” Gideon squints at Nico, “Its been abandoned for years, Nico, I thought you new of that.” Nico frowns at Gideons words, then stares down at the island on the map, shaking his head, an idea forms. “A beautiful place, such as ArmaLuna, can not die in this kind of way. Prepare some ships with supplies and crews, it will be in the Silverblades names to bring life back into ArmaLuna.”

Gideon nods, agreeing with Nico’s idea. He then rushes out of the house to go get ships and a crew. Nico smiles down at the map, taking another sip of his tea, smiling at his good intentions for ArmaLuna.

Kyral giggles as she hears the Silverblades plans to take ArmaLuna, smiling widely as she looks to her map, eyes widening. She seems to look over to Holm for a brief moment as she looks to her resources. She adjusts her newly worn crown as she smiles, writing a letter to Nico Silverblade

Dearest Nico Silverblade

I have heard news of your oncoming attack upon Armaluna. Needless to say I am VERY interested, we must chat over some fine wine and food. Maybe Aeroch Nor could lend you a hand for a small marginal price? We can discuss this during our meeting of course, for now I'll let my men know we are going to mobilize, unless you say otherwise.

*At the Bottem of the letter is listing of a few soilders names*

Uthor Silverblade

Elder of War

And Nico please make a Public notice for armrluna so they have time to prepare either it being a 5day warning Rply or a few RL hours before the Warclaim.

((I am going to dispute the warclaim for two main reasons:

1. Too far away.

Notes and Laws:

1- Nation's can only lay claim to territory that runs along your borders or your allies. Make nations have to work their way up. Say Krugmar wants to begin capturing Hanseti. They must first be on good terms with Alras to be able to mobilize an army through their borders. Then they must also have the permission of Salvus to make their way through there as well, and then Renatus, and so on and so forth.

2- If a Nation wish to lay claim to another Nation that they do not border, they are not able to start a large scale claim for land. They are allowed to lay claim to only 2-4 regions from them, As it is unrealistic for a nation to have regions that are farther away from it without losing it to rebellion or take back.

The Silverblades would need to get permission from Holm, Menorcress, or Haelun'or in order to get close enough to lay conquest. They are way out of range of the 2-4 limit posted by Mogroka.

2. Not enough reason to go to War:

Casus belli

Casus belli is an expression meaning the justification for acts of war. Casus means "incident", "rupture" or indeed "case", while belli means bellic ("of war"). It is usually distinguished from casus foederis, where casus belli refers to offenses or threats directly against a nation, and casus foederis to refer to offenses or threats to another, allied, nation with which the justifying nation is engaged in a mutual defense treaty. Informal usage varies beyond its technical definition to refer to any "just cause" a nation may claim for entering into a conflict. Formally, a government would lay out its reasons for going to war, as well as its intentions in prosecuting it and the steps that might be taken to avert it. In so doing, the government would attempt to demonstrate that it was going to war only as a last resort (ultima Ratio) and that it in fact possessed "just cause" for doing so. The stated reasons may or may not be the actual reason for waging the war.

ArmaLuna was annexed by Malinor one week ago through an diplomatic agreement between our Council and theirs. There would need to be reason to go to war with Malinor before this could continue.

In other words, ArmaLuna is not abandoned.))

I talked to Mog personally about this when I was going to claim it for Oren. There are no regions around it, and it's abandoned so they may conquest it with no opposition. They just need to take some ships and sail around

((If you mean to say my post is metagaming, if I am not mistaken a war claim for Conquest is known to the opposing faction. Considering I live on ArmaLuna and have actively since before it was even released to the public I would assume I am the 'opposing faction'. Now, if there was a revision to the rules, I apologize for my ignorance of such.))

A public announcement will be made if you had taken the time to read Uthor's post. I suggest you read over it again to avoid this kind of thing in the future. Thank you for your time. []
