Well, since my old character died I'm thinking of making a halfling character, I've got the skin already, I'm learning how to type the accent, read the lore etc etc BUT I can NOT seem to think of a name. The name generators on google make no sense to me and I failed at trying to use Petyr's guide. I need help badly :P

It's easy to get a first name down, just think of some names or generate some online, and pick one you like.

As for your family name, if you're really struggling then it may well be easier for you to join an existing family rather than introducing a new one, but make sure you get the ok from the already existing members, otherwise they may throw a tantrum and lock themselves in their burrow.

Basically what he said, although for first names it doesn't need to be "Halfling" as your parents name you so if you had a human father he might have given you a human name or vice-versa with dwarven. And yes please do ask to be apart of a family before joining as they are the senior member so they know if it can even work for them to have a brother or child.

If you decide not to join a family some examples of how yours may look are Hollyfrost, Bigfoot, and Linnyweed. These are or have been taken so use a different one but that is generally how they look so good luck and hope to see you in the Vale!

What's the Minecraft names of the Family elders so I could ask Ig if I'm allowed to join someone's family.

I took my name and spelled it backwards (this was before sub-races existed, so it's not quite a halfling name, but it works).

The Featherfoots are certainly the most lucrative family, with a luxury burrow in the secluded mouth of the Tookwater, and the one and only BranMaster Faldo has many items of worth.

Would you consider your self the Bagginses of the Vale?

Well, Featherfoot's Folly is the envy of the folk of the Vale, much as Bag End would be. And like Bilbo, Faldo has also acquired many trinkets in his adventures. However the Brandybucks are the most respected family and are elder, so in that respect they would be like the Bagginses.

I take it that there is no "Overhill" family. Because that is what my character shall take for his "last name".

I chose "Overhill" because it is similar to "Underhill" which Frodo used when travelling in secret. Overhill is not infact my true last name.
