We've updated our server to 1.4.4 (1.4.5 server side)

1.4.4 went live moments ago so be sure not to update.

We'll be waiting for a stable release of Bukkit untill we update.

Absolutely. Remember that 1.4.2 is a beta build, and unstable enough as it is. As soon as 1.4.4 is a recommended build on Bukkit, we'll update.

Wouldn't 1.4.4 be compatible with 1.4.2? Or did they actually add/change stuff rather then roll in the bug-fixes?

(For those curious I am going to test if I can get ont he server 1.4.4. No promises but I will update this post when I get an answer. Also I have plenty of backups of my .minecraft I can take chaces...and magic launcher...berb)

Edit for answer: You can not get on the server with a 1.4.4 client. If you have updated, and use Hawk's Modpack(or possibly optifine), there will be an extra minecraft.jar file in your bin folder with the version after it's name. Just rename that to ' minecraft ' and DO NOT update if you still want to play on the server.
